Tyler from AAG writes "Chances are you didn’t hear about Persona 4 when it originally came out in North America in 2008, or in Europe in 2009. It came out on the Playstation 2 around the time Sony’s next-generation console finally got its feet under it with the solid releases such as Heavenly Sword and Metal Gear Solid 4. Despite critical acclaim, the game didn’t exactly catch on as much as it could have. However, Atlus has taken its time and have re-released this infamous JRPG as Persona 4 Golden, with some extra bells and whistles nonetheless, for Sony’s Playstation Vita. The final product I can easily declare with confidence might just be the best thing for the big black handheld released this year."
Atlus has announced a collaboration with a well-known Japanese distillery to launch the Persona series' very own whiskey, releasing tomorrow.
I'll have to make this a mission the next time I blow through Tokyo.
Hopefully soon, given the limited availability.
Only one of the games on the top ten is completely original.
90 percent of Metacrtitic's top ten highest-rated games of 2023 so far are remasters and remakes, with Hi-Fi Rush acting as the only wholly original game to make the list so far.
We might only be in March, but it seems like we've already got tons of great games to be talking about, including Dead Space, Resident Evil 4, Hi-Fi Rush, Persona 4 Golden, and Metroid Prime Remastered. There is one commonality between those games, however - most of them are remakes and remasters.
Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royale receive high praise and low prices with accolades trailer & generous sales.
Already own physical versions of Persona 5 Royal and Persona 5 Strikers along with digital versions of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden on Switch. Will definitely double dip if physical versions of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden.
These reviews are scary for Persona 4. Like dammmm, so many good reviews, have to buy this one.
Great game but running around dungeon graffics are sooo dated. Minus point fiver out of a ten spot for serious.
