lame that u can be ban for swearing thats why its a 17 + game

brish4181d ago

You can be banned for swearing in a game that has swears in single player dialog?! O.o

I think Black Ops 2 is going to set records ... for number of people banned ... and number of gamers that leave the franchise!

JBSleek4181d ago

Hmm single play swearing is is different from people on multiplayer and you know it. It's war people will swear.

Cursing for the purpose of driving the story is different than people degrading other humans online.

I know it's dumb. I remember getting banned in Socom 4 for swearing and the characters themselves swear and call each other dumb asses when players shoot each other.

Ever since cod became flooded with kids they've been real strict

GrieverSoul4181d ago (Edited 4181d ago )

All this bully talk about banning people is just to promote the game. Like saying they will create a fair and polite environment to play.

MY GOD! If people didnt swear in CoD I dont think I would of enjoy the game so much. Its part of the game to laugh of some guy going into rage mode and insulting everyone else when he dies.

I think the initial warning is a scare tactic... I don't see them banning everyone for swearing, but if people are verbally attacking others, they have the rule in place. I don't care if someone says the F bomb, but if they are calling someone else a F-bomb - N-word or something like that, they need to be banned to show that it's not good social behavior no matter the age.

I wish they'd bad people who play DJ with an open mic. They need to be perma banned. No one wants to hear their crappy music over a crappy headset.

So because you are 17+ you should be able to say racist rude ignorant comments to other human beings?

Or are we gonna be real about it and understand there are children playing and that being rude isn't okay no matter what the age on the back of the game says.

brish4181d ago

Q. So because you are 17+ you should be able to say racist rude ignorant comments to other human beings?

Who said anything saying racist rude ignorant comments to other human beings? The point is the Black Ops II game itself includes course language.

ESRB: Black Ops II

"Content descriptors: Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes, Use of Drugs"

http://www.esrb.org/ratings...

This means players can be banned for using the same words that are in the game.

MikeMyers4181d ago (Edited 4181d ago )

I think common sense goes a long ways. The odd swear word isn't likely to get you banned, telling people to go **** themselves and being aggressive will. We all want to enjoy our games, both online and offline, without being badgered by some foul-mouthed gamer who can't control themselves.

Besides, if your vocabulary is made up of mostly cuss words then perhaps a microphone isn't what you need. Maybe going back to school and educating yourself is a more important path for you than getting the most kill streaks.

"Could be" is the keywords here. I'll believe it when I see it.

chriski3334181d ago

YouTube shall see a big jump of little kids swearing and yelling then crying cause they get banned!

Nobody will be banned for swearing, incredible amounts of racal abuse, perhaps.

Good, I am sick and tired of children and idiots behaving like little scumbags and thinking it is okay. It is about time that this stuff starts getting regulated. Companies trusted people to do the right thing and they behaved like assholes.

The reality is that the majority of people just want to play online and have fun. But a few stupid morons ruin things by being sexist, racist, homophobic, and all around immature. Basically, your internet tough guys that would never behave that way in public.

I do feel sorry for the people that are going to get into trouble for just playing around with their friends and the wrong person joins their game and gets offend.

I would say that there is way more kids playing this game than adults

Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play Coming During Season 1, Treyarch Handling Development

Modern Warfare 3 Ranked Play will be arriving sometime in the middle of Season 1. Treyarch is once again handling development of it.

I'll bite.
I don't min/max or alter controller schemes anymore because the default options suit me fine aside from aiming sensitivity, which was freakishly low on default.
But the matchmaking system still does that dissemble-reassemble which I hate and knew that my following games after my first overall score would increase In difficulty, i.e. drop shotters (many more examples)

You've got this ranked play but you have this spm scale that throws you against the sweatwall of hell (2 good games>1 bad game)

Swiftly uninstalled and I save 110+gb
