IMO Gears 3, Forza 4, GT5, Mass Effect 3 and Crysis 2 look better than Uncharted 3, that is not to say that Uncharted 3 looks bad, they are all up there in the same category of best looking "console" games this gen. It all comes down to preference and opinion.
Gears of war 3 looks better than uncharted in many way and uncharted 3 looks better than gears of war in many ways. I spent hundreds of hours on both to know that call it the best graphics this gen is hype. When Halo 4 comes out then people probably wont be able to tell which looks better. hell some think gears and uncharted looks exactly the same and generally their right.
This game is shaping up to be great,to be honest I care a lot more about mechanics than visuals,and this game seem to have some of the most refined shooting mechanics I've ever seen..About technical graphics...on pc I don't doubt they can add whatever tech they want,on consoles let's wait and,see after all we all know what Happened with Crysis 2,Rage,Halo games,Alan Wake and so many games that went overhyped about their visual and fell short comparing to expectations in the end.
And yet, the four games you mention (Crysis 2, Rage, Halo, Alan Wake) are still four of the best looking console games to date. The best looking games always tend to be overhyped.
You can set the expectations too high (mostly thanks to fanboys and media) and then it will be impossible to deliver - Killzone 2 CGI trailer as a prime example - but it still doesn't change the fact that the game looks exceptionally good.
While the visuals look fantastic I wouldn't put it as 'best looking', especially considering the overall scale of the game is quite small with it being a linear experience (I'm not saying linear is a bad thing).
Max Payne 3 looks incredible on consoles and unbelievable on fast PC hardware, especially when you consider how great Max Payne 2 looked when it was released.
Red deads dead eye wasnt the first game played max payne back wayyyyy before red dead was even thought of.. Hell dx9 wasnt even out beleave dx8 and couple people here right number 2 was fantastic looking. But for me, old max payne was best really loved the story that said after when im threw with max 3 witch been a while illbe after red dead 3.
