NO. I disagree. It would be the greatest console if every model was backward compatible. This is just cheap cash in. I hope the emulation at least does some tricks like HD resolution and AA, because PS2 games look like crap on HDTV.
It's already the greatest, no matter what ps2 games you can play, it's just another + (and we don't even have enough time to play all the great exclusives + multi + online parts today, so ps2...)
so does every console lol with oc everything is their you can easily max out at really high res so no need for a "remaster" xbl has had xbox games on there store for quite some time and the wii im sure has some golden oldies for it
So the Oct. 5 announcement is that the PS2 Titles are Coming to the PSN? I don't see the connection to the teaser. So I guess there's something they haven't announced yet. But with all the great games on the PS2, I guess this is something to be happy about. XD

Just saying, there are loads of good PS2 games they could choose, but also a lot of stinkers.
