The girl uses her black Scarf the same way Bayonetta uses her Hair to attack. The attacks even look like Wicked hair Moves! And that Scene where she'S Walking on the wall... Where Have i seen that before? oh yeah , Bayonetta.

I think this is more about a Game looking like another game then a ''Who Did it first'' thing. In the Same way Dante's inferno came out right after God of War 3 and looked exactly like it obviously showed that Dante's inferno took alot of inspiration from the title. but was Kratos the 1st fictional character to face Greek villains and Gods? Of course not Thor Did it before him but the God of war games were the 1st to perfect the Story and built itself a Name and Gaming Product Around it. Thats why many other games came after it and looked like it.

Same thing could apply for the Gears of War Games.The IP wasnt the 1st 3rd person shooter nore was it the 1st game to used Bulked up characters and a very bloody gameplay but It was a title that came around and Perfected the genre with the characters , stories gameplay and created itself a product that inspired alot of other games. I could name alot of them but I'll stick to Quantum Theory that came out Most recently.

I do see alot of bayonetta in this game and it's not a bad thing. Bayonetta was one of the best Hack in slash games with God Of war that came out earlier this year.this is a very good trailer and looks like a good game neitherless of all the talk.

This game doesn't look anything like beyonetta besides the fact that his Cape turns into fists and drills and shit.

Other than that it's a normal action game. An action game with multi-chained hits is now copying anything else that came before it now?

I even forgot to mention Darkstalkers where almost everybody's acttacks transformed their bodies into some type of fist/scythe/drill/sword etc.

You can't come with some BS like "look this game is ripping off Bayonetta!" and the only thing you have to show for it is big bosses and a transforming scraf.

Monster hunter did that, Shadow of the Colossus did that, Lost Planet? Im sure there are some old ass games and some new ones too that have used all these techniques before mutha fuckin Bayonetta had come along to make her the certain of the argument and then give me an example of Dante's Inferno.

Which is like a fuckin duplication and not an inspiration. You can't rip off a the IDEA of fighting big bosses and having a transforming weapon when it's been done to death decades before the subject so-called "ripped it off".

I think the issue here is the big ressemblance between the main character's way of fighting and the esthetic aspect of it. Of course you can have a game that technically works like another game like having Big boss Battles or the Battle system this has never been an issue. The main issue in the present case is the esthetic aspect of Malicious Main Protagonist which would be The Weapon she uses to fight. I just find it obvious that the Inspiration for it is Bayonetta and I say that because of the Esthetic aspect of it. The Looks of the Attacks and the way they Animated really do look like it came out of bayonetta. AS for the boss We havent seen all of them but there's no doubt that Monster from Malicious looks like it's from Bayonetta's realm. But Other then that there's alot of different things between the two games just like Dante's inferno was different than God Of war in alot of ways.

Just now we have Vanquish who is about to come out in a Week or so. The Game's main Character although not known by most people here is a Clear Homage to Casshern. If it Wasnt for the Creator telling it to others Alot of peole wouldnt never been aware of it and alot of people probably would have thought it was a Ripoff while it was not. I wouldnt be surprised that the Creator of Malicious would tell us that they drew alot of inspiration from Kamiya's bayonetta but that is for a later time when they'll start giving out more interviews.

I played Bayonetta. All I saw was the fact she ran up walls similar to Bayonetta.

But then again, so what if it's similar? The game looks interesting. I don't see why the similarity is a big deal.

Bayonetta is AAA game. I doubt this malicious thing will get 85% overall but I'd be pissed aswell if I had to play the SEGA port of Bayonetta.

But I hardly think it's enough to be considered a knock off. In fact I didnt even even notice until you pointed it out. They'll prolly play completely different. I mean sure the cape/hair thing is slightly similar but Bayonetta's combat was more centered around her numerous guns where the cape is primary in this game. And that Angel looks like alotta creatures. Try that one Angel hound from Darksiders.

When I first saw the trailer I thought it was a female. I don't mind if it's a male protagonist, but IMO, I feel this game would suit a female protagonist better.

It's very similar to Bayonetta. Now check out the track record for the dev, do you really think they can compete with Platinum? I'm sure the game will not play all too similar but don't tell me they didn't get some inspiration from Bayonetta. Fanboys..
