AusGamers has produced a feature looking at the platform exclusives of 2013, and while they concede that it's hard to fully gauge without official knowledge of both Sony and Microsoft's next-gen plans, the clear winner overall is the PC.
From the feature:
"A new year means new games, lots of them. The avalanche of high quality releases continues to have momentum, making the last few years some of the best that our industry has experienced. 2013 should be interesting for a couple of reasons. Foremost, you have the Wii U, a newcomer console that is embracing current performance specifications while introducing yet another new (Nintendo) way of interacting with games via the tablet-like GamePad. This year may also, if the rumours are to be trusted, see announcements made regarding the next (next) generation of consoles from Microsoft and Sony. Then you have the PC, which -- despite all doom and gloom of the last couple of years -- stands at the beginning of what could very well b...
"The Game Music Foundation are today very proud and pleased to announce an additional concert, circling back to the roots of Game Muisic Festival in Poland. On April 28th, 2024, the National Forum of Music in Wroclaw will once again become a place to celebrate the art of video game music, featuring scores from The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II." - The Game Music Foundation.
Najam from eXputer writes "It's time fore a new installment in the series, not another pointless remaster."
They are working on something new. Not to be rude but it is impossibility stupid to think ND next major announcement is going to be a remaster or their next Last of Us entry is going to be another remaster.
The team is sad for losing out on such a great project but celebrates its growth because of spending time on it.
All they had to do was make a basic online mode like their previous games. Instead they wanted more money and choose to go live service which makes games worse in my opinion.
What a waste of time and money, what a shame.
Not sure why they didn’t just make Factions 2. There was no need to make it a live service.
TLoU Factions was a great addition such a shame they couldn’t be bothered to remaster that for PS5 considering the crazy high price tag of the remaster of a remaster…
This is something to be celebrated. This studio is smart and they get it, even factions 2 wouldn't've have been worth the time. I am surprised they didn't just remaster the first one though, but actually how popular was Factions?
I love my ps3, 360, wii, ds, psp, ps2, iphone and gaming pc all like children
but just like all parents do, (they just would never tell you) we all have our favorites
if i could only choose one platform it would hands down be pc
heck i can play all my ds, wii, ps2 and ps1 games ON MY PC up to 1080p! ( wii and ps2 in 1080p with 8x aa at 60 frames)
so its really like 10 consoles in one with all the epic pc games not possible on consoles and the best visuals without question
that said, I like having the main sony and main ms console too, for amazing games like halo 4, uncharted 3, killzone 3, gears 3 ect...ect...ect.....
for me pc is my favorite followed closely by ps3 and 360
though, ps2 may be my favorite console, but, now that kinda falls under pc, since i am playing kingdom hearts 2, nightmare of druaga and shadow hearts covenant all in 1080p on my pc!
Getting hyped for Total War: Rome II, Blade & Soul, Arma 3 and a bunch more PC Exclusives!
