I wanna see what the heck Retro is working on. They need to let retro do their own shooter. I think with enough time and a few devlopers from studios that closed or have shooter experience itd be nice. Once retro put its magic touch on it of course.
Sega's fate affects Nintendo's. Clearly Sega is but a fraction of what it used to be. When was the last good sonic game released? Clearly they've made some unfortunate mistakes and I don't want to see Nintendo fall under a similar pattern. I highly doubt it, because Nintendo seems to resist exterior influence, but it's still a concern to me
My god if they do end up becoming one and the same... i cant wait for them to announce it at e3 it be epic if they announced as a new super smash bros game with sega characters lol. Pit vs Vyse loved to see that unfold lol
they should purchase sega...sega was first gaming company to have an online structure, they can help there, also their games and bring genesis does style commercials for wiiu
Yes they were, but the guy that was behind it works/worked at Microsoft and helped build Xbox LIVE. If you did a bit of research, you could probably find his name.
So what xbox live is today, would probably be something similar to segas online infrastructure if they still had a console.
I don't know how I truly feel about Nintendo possibly acquiring Sega, but one positive would be future release of back catalog since Ninty has the finances and truly nurture their oldest titles. I wish Sega would do the same and bring back old titles that brought them success, they need to release more Saturn and Dreamcast titles on XBLA and PSN.
As much as buying a system for only a handful of games goes against everything I believe in.. If Sega still owns the Shenmue IP and Nintendo brought it to life, I'd pick up a Wii U no questions asked.
Don't expect to ever see the games you saw in the old days. The only great games from post split Rare are remakes of the games made by old Rare.
