Shining Force 3 videos come under siege

Youtube uploaders have been finding that many of their Shining Force 3 videos have come under attack over the last several days and it has lead to many videos being taken down for copyright infringement by a mysterious plaintiff who seems to be in some way associated with SEGA. Many of the videos being taken down are non-profit fan videos that are merely promoting the series, but they are still be taken down. Even Total Biscuit has had several of his Shining Force 3 videos pulled for infringement, but while he has no real worries about losing his videos others have had their entire channels suspended.

Wow. Sega really doesn't like non-Japanese Shining Force fans, do they? Anyway, Sega may be a grudge against the old Shining games, because so many people consider them to be leagues better than the new crap Shining Force games, right?

Not sure how they could justify spitting on many of their most faithful fans.

While I wouldn't call SEGA the worst gaming company ever, I do agree they should bloody-well translate the other 2 Shining Force III discs and release them on PSN and Xbox Live. That was the last game I bought for my Saturn while the system was still being supported. That said, I don't see why SEGA would go after non-profit videos of SF3.

Shame about Creative Assembly, they should have just been allowed to do an Alien Isolation sequel.

just_looken27d ago

It was that garbage coh 3 that did them in only a special team can make a sequel worse in every way even though it was a 10 year gap and the same era.

gold_drake27d ago

I hope they find new jobs in the industry soon.

Two Point Studios and Sports Interactive probably run on a shoe string budget so that fits into SEGA better lol
