It's not dead, it's just in development hell until the tard who's holding the IP rights can find money and developers to continue the development.

I wish some one would buy the IP. Stalker was one incrediblely awesome game. I think would have been even great if the first one came out on the consoles. That way console gamers could see the great game in Stalker too.

Everyone can go to a Russian site and google translate, Hp did it in a more normal English ranslation, the least you can do is make the ''Read he full story'' link to the Hp Gaming site.
