Good stuff...
Glad to see there's still huge demand for the console. In its seventh year it'll still be getting exclusives like The Last of Us, Ni no Kuni, Sly Cooper 4, Yakuza 5, GoW Ascension and Beyond, so now's the time to get one if ever.

I would like it if these sites put in X country in their titles.

Anyway I would think the FIFA bundle really helped in the UK.

I wish they would as well, but then it kills the whole "click here for more" instead of just scrolling through the feed, (like I do).

It's annoying but they won't stop anytime soon.

nice, very nice ! skylanders and book of spells bundles will increase sales numbers even more because of children.

Good support from Sony to customers, PS Plus, great exclusive games, this gen goes to photo finish I think. Good job, Sony and MS.

stupid comments. does this not happen all the time when they and xbox have had new models.
a_adji  +   649d ago

138%. So thats a % of what? 1000? 50,000? doesn't mean much and I would hardly say its a rocket if the new model was 37% of units. Numbers pls for a meaningful view.

I suspect that a lot of these sales are second machines and collectors a bit like when the S model xbox launched. Mine was a second machine.

Still on my 40GB Fat PS3 but now with 320 HDD

I wondered that myself. I would suspect that sales of the console the week before the super-slim was released would be near zero. People would either wait a week for the new console or wait to see if the current model would drop in price.

My launch 60g fat is still running like a champ! Still glad to see more ps3's being sold! Newbies on killzone3 are always welcome!
GamerElite  +   649d ago
My fat GB ps3 just took it's last breath.
mayberry  +   649d ago
sorry GE! I'm still wondering if I will have Sony fix my 60 when it goes, or get a slim! But, like I said, it's still going great.

Not such a pointless release (like a lot of people on here said)after all
AznGaara  +   649d ago
Wait this is actually successful? But... People said the price was wayyyy too high. People said noooo one was gonna buy this. People said Sony was doooooomed!

Good now keep the momentum Sony don't let it just spike and then fall back. MARKET it please.
DialgaMarine  +   649d ago
Not to mention, with the more simplified hardware at the same price (but with some amazing games bundled in), Sony is turning a pretty good profit on each system. So, where are the Xbots that just love profit margin at, now?

I think I shall write an article about why 138% is bad and Sony is doomed cause it wasn't 139%.

This is terrible news for sony *Front Page please*

Saracasm btw! on topic thats great I am getting the flash one for my living room, I quite like the sliding door design.

Just imagine what a price drop would have done. 500%!
BitbyDeath  +   649d ago
According to the 'top story' we will be seeing retailers lower the price as we come closer to Xmas.
