I can give you my ideal specs and what I think is actually in the consoles.
CPU = Power7, Power7+, or possibly Power8.
WiiU uses 45 nm CPU = Power7(4,6,8 cores) Most likely 4 for WiiU. Still 16 threads is more than double the PS3/X360 CPU power. Clock is likely in the 3.x range. Although it could be higher than expected and hit 4 Ghz.
X720 is rumored on 32nm = Power7+ Same core possibilities (4,6,8) Possibly more memory and possibly slightly higher clock speed.
PS4 is mystery. Its most likely on 32nm Power7+ CPU. Although some speculate PS4 coming in 2014. If so then it could be sporting a Power8 CPU which hits the market in Early/Mid 2013 sometime.
GPUs I am hoping WiiU has a GPU that hits 1-1.5 Tflops. So it can sport 720p even on Unreal Engine 4 and maybe CryEngine 4.0 as well.
I am hoping PS4/X720 hit around 2.5-3.0 Tflops with a GPU so we can see 1080p on every new game. Although many expect the mid-range GPUs which aim for 1-1.5 or so Tflops.
Strangly it seems that AMD is rumored or said to hold all three consoles in its grasp for making HD GPUs.
CryEngine & and Unreal 4 are being shown to entice developers to support them since developers are starting to work on ps4/next xbox launch titles for next year! :)
i really hope all the rumors about durango being the nextgen xbox are true. although durango could be more of a cloud gaming service similar to onlive....who knows.
As much as i love my 360, i really just want a new nextgen console, the 360 is practically maxed out on the hardware aspect of things (although new engine updates and mods do help squeeze out more performance here and there)and i just want something new to replace it. Hopefully crossplatforming is more mainstream with the new xbox, as id love to play some pc gamers. and i actually cant wait to see the new generation of RPGs and FPS games....... it should be good!.
