CryEngine 3 SDK is now available for free

This really is a fantastic engine if you look through some of the development videos for it. I just hope crytek's future games pack more of a punch than crysis 2 did.

Totally agree with you aviator. CryEngine 3 is by far one of the best engines and I'm really looking forward to what the indie studios can bring us with this engine

We should judge a developer not by their engines but the output of those engines .... cryengine 3 no matter wht it is ... failed to shine thru crysis 2 ......

I say again 4A developers dont get the respect they deserve ... they kinda did evrythin cryengine3 does but earlier ....

Alot people made me very angury on n4g. Given crytek a hard time when they launched there crysis 2, it was there first real game with cryuk on board. For consoles it was compared to likes of kz3. Killzone 3 while people were like no way i was like yeh i can see why you think that. Its quality game.
Yet ps3 owners some of you,gave this game bad time yet wasnt there to compete kz3. They never said that crysis crysis warhead been around for sometime. They should of been well happy.
As for pc goes yeh they put more effort into console side. But since then they gave us patches support of dx11.
This is the start there nobody's first party but stated they will make exclusives for any console like ms. But they are multiplatform based company.
Thats great cos they have alot of talent to be shared with console gamers.

I really don undestand y ppl disagree .. crytek showed cool trees usin cryengine 3 but they din even bother to put those in crysis 2 .... if u ppl r happy wth a company teasin the engine all day ..... but i hav more respect for ppl like 4A hu come out of nowhere no hypin but does deliver ....

dude i understand were you comming from. but if you heard and followed crytek. you would of known there plans wasnt to redo a crysis or crysis warhead. but a more urban enviroment its far cry from the tropics jugle atmosphere witch and still is a great game buddy.

Me too :)I start level design on Monday using UnrealEngine3 but it'll gladly take the opportunity to use CryEngine3.

@Hired Help... dude u prbly hav some eyesight prb nd cudnt see the trees in crysis 2 ...... cudnt see that they don react to bullets as crysis 1 trees do .....
