Superman is too overpowered for his own game, at least on earth anyway.

"Press X to fire laser beams out of your a$$ and kill everything... you win"

Maybe if it was based on Apokolips or something?

Stick to Batman Rocksteady, he's way cooler anyway.

HenryFord4771d ago

Absolutely true - I think Rocksteady already made clear that they won't launch a superman-title, because he is simply too overpowered. It may work for storylines for both - movie/tv and cartoons/books - but I don't think this would work as a game, because you can literally destroy everything with a flunk of your eye.

Spiderman would be cool to do, but I think that The Green Lantern could make an awesome game.

But the Batman-Universum is simply the greatest - so...nothing wrong with a complete triology :)

I don't understand the concept of Superman anyway...
He makes absolutely no sense at all!
How is a virtually unstoppable, indestructible and nearly all-powerful character relatable in any shape or form?
I just don't get it.

It's like a bunch of kids were debating what would be the best superhero and the last kid was like: "I know, I know!! A man who can do all kinds of cool shit and yeah, BTW: he also can't be killed or hurt."
-"Hey that's unfair!"
"Okay okay... He can be hurt by some green stuff, but it doesn't really exist."

Ever read Watchmen? Or know anything about Dr. Manhattan? At least Superman has a weakness.

how about hulk, you know is ustoppable?

claterz4771d ago

Stick with batman please! I liked the dark, gritty feel of arkham asylum, I don't think that would work very well with superman. Maybe spiderman? Don't think I've ever played a decent spiderman game.

Eiffel4771d ago

Never played Spiderman 2? Best one yet I've played.

HaHa_Ostrich4771d ago

Yeah spiderman 2 was the best. I spent most of the time just swinging around the city. The story was so so, side missions boring, but the swinging itself made the game awesome.

belal4771d ago

i think that they can make one of the best spiderman games ever! they know the formula, they just need to make it happen.

Superman is a great caracter...the thing is most peple dont understand it or want to. he is powered by the Sun, practicaly immortal (some fans especulate that he would live forever as long as under a yellow sun...and get more powerfull by the year as he lives under it...) and so on...a game with that caracter would not be that interesting at all..right? And yet some of the greatest of its comics arcs are where he dont have all that power or his enemies can take him nerarly/or as equals. Its a matter of making the game playable people....its possible.

Oh and by the way..all the power SM pushes around on the comics is he holding back....he never goes all out...THAT would be OP...heheheh

SeanScythe4771d ago (Edited 4771d ago )

I did like that one Episode of Justice League Unlimtied when SM tells Dark Side that he has never used all his power because he was worried what would happen. That he would go to far. Then he told him he thinks he can finally go all out on him. That was awesome.

i think they should rocksteady showed everyone that they are the best at delevoping a real comic book game batman had sold really good and it was a good game and now with its sequel coming out i think they should make more comic heroes i think spiderman would be good as well and i know activision makes them but if rocksteady makes them then we know its going to be a big hit and sell well

Rocksteady and Sucker Punch I can do a great action pact Star Wars games. Especially Rocksteady with their great combat system. Great write-up.

MadLad1152d ago

Spiders has proven that they can land the feel of the earlier Bioware games well.
Give them a solid budget, and they'd probably put out something impressive.

Then there's always Obsidian. As far as I'm concerned, despite being rushed thus buggy, I thought their Kotor 2 was a better game to Bioware's original. Especially when you got to play the fan patched version that included a lot of the content they didn't have the chance to implement in the original release.

Tacoboto1151d ago (Edited 1151d ago )

I disagree almost entirely with this article in regards to them being suitable for KOTOR, but would love a Star Wars from each of these devs.
Rocksteady would have a great sandbox filled with easter eggs to respect the lore of the universe, but KOTOR isn't an action brawler. They'd nail a Bounty Hunter game. Kojima would probably pull a Rian Johnson and throw the lore out the window, but if he was to focus on a specific genre I could see you being another Bounty Hunter infiltrating the Sith.

Sucker Punch could easily tackle something akin to Fallen Order mixed with elements of inFamous. Creative Assembly knows claustrophobic tension; I could imagine a side-story of a pilot that crash-lands onto a monster-infested area of a Sith-controlled planet.

Bluepoint would be the only studio of these I'd trust in these to respect the original gameplay systems.

LordoftheCritics1151d ago (Edited 1151d ago )

Yep. None of those devs make deep rpgs.

That was more like, ''I like the games those devs made so let them make KOTOR.''

BlackIceJoe1151d ago

Larian Studios is one of the best RPG developers around, so I could see them making a phenomenal game. Unfortunately I don't think that will happen.

MadLad1151d ago

Not to mention they're going to be working on Baldur's Gate for a good while.
