This is how Sony plans to take over the Japanese market. They will have several RPG games in the next 18 months. If that will help? The Wii is still a lot cheaper!
Two Exclusives actually i was just about to post both of them.
Two new Ps3 titles have been added onto the ps3’s library. The first game is a new title developed by the studio behind .hack, Fukuoka-based CyberConnect2. Details surrounding the game are scarce at this point.
This sounds very creative.... everyone in the RPG arena should take note. I like the idea of what you did with one character will effect another. A sins of the father effect.
I figured out the problem with the 360's blowing up.
It seems that with every positive SONY news, 10 xbox360's blow up.
I say this because lately there has been a borage of great news on Sony's side, and with that, have also appeared many articles of MORE, and MORE 360's BLOWING UP.....HAHAHAHHA
This has to be the case. Peter, schedule a meeting. We need to plan our next SKU....HAHAHHAHA
...Oh and this is good news too, so I take it there are 10 more sad 360 owners out there....HAHAHA
Idea Factory has made some really great games before. Does anyone know if this title has any tie to the anime The Record Of Lodloss War? I played the Dreamcast game with the same title a lot. It was very good once you got into it. Highly underrated.
Is it just me or is history repeating it self. Same thing happened with the PS2. Over a short period of time they managed to get so many exclusives for the PS2 that made it better that the other consoles.
Could the same happen with the PS3?
Keep it coming Sony Sony is being aggressive the fall and I think sells in Japan will really pick up with games like this coming out constantly. Now for the US market they need to get Killzone 2, Drakes Fortune, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword and MGS4 out.
Lair is going to be a disappointment...primarily gameplay. Of all the videos I've seen so far, the apparent gameplay and AI sucks. Needs the God of War factor which it appears it doesn't have.
Agree with solidt12 - I've been saying for some time that the Japanese market has not forgotten about crazy 'ol Uncle Sony, it's just that he hasn't given them anything to spout on about, really since the PS2 and barely lately, the PSP.
SNE "must" cater to the Japanese market first in order to win outright and they have to know this. Yes, the American / British / EU / etc.., consumer is a large part of your buying demographic, but if you're HOME territory isn't sold it's going to be an uphill battle to thrive across the pond. The Wii has Japanese consumers satisfied at the moment, but these people have always been big supporters of SNE.
A release like this (and more like them) should help that goal along and I think 2008 will really be the year for SNE to "show us what they're really, really made of..."
In the meantime, they'll have to seriously consider dropping the price of the PS3 stateside (in 2007/ Xmas?) along with maybe re-introducing the 20G in the U.S. to coincide with the realeases of these upcoming great titles. Afterall, what's the use of kick a$$ games if only a small number of people can afford the console to play them on? Just my thoughts.
I hope the US gets to see this We need some RPG lovin'. The rest of the year looks great as far as games go but, we're having to wait till 2008 to get out hands on white knights story and FFXIII.
so, it`s nothing special, but well, this time they are doing new game with other developers, so there is a chance, that game will be better, than all other their games... =)
we're likely not going to see this title stateside then. Of course unless NIS decides to localize it 3 years down the road.
I hope Sony has the brains to pick this up for a US release. They need rpgs and badly.
Sony Scores another Exclusive , Japanese People should be happy now :)
and nice find.

I wonder if this has any connection to Record of Lodoss War the anime.
YEA BABY!! Keep em coming!
I love RPG games... I'm looking forward to see and hear more details about it.
Yeah, me too.
