Glitch Cat - In the end, Fable Anniversary takes one step forward and two steps back. New upgraded visuals, remastered audio, improved interfaces, a superior save system, and the bonus map and guide featured in Xbox Smartglass really do a great job of making the classic game feel fresh again, but the lack of tweaks to animations, item usage, and combat really show the game’s true age. It also doesn’t help that the game is saddled with game-breaking bugs too. If you’re interested in finding out how it all began in Albion or just want to revisit one of the Xbox’s classic adventures with a new skin, then you might want to check this out. But if you’re hoping for a vastly improved Fable, you might want to check out the sequels instead.
The Fable series is one of our favorite gaming franchises. Heres what we want from the rumoured sequel
Microsoft announced Fable Legends at Gamescom 2013, not E3 2013. I'd like for the new Fable to have the same artstyle as Fable Legends.
Well lets hope Microsoft are going to announce a new Fable. The MS fans deserve a great Fable game. If it is announced and the gameplay looks cool, this might convince me to get, at least a Series S. It would be my very first Xbox console.
Hell no Fable legends is NOT what we wanted.
Fable 2 is what we want outta Fable. Remake Fable 2 please.
"There have been some stellar Xbox 360 enhanced games on Xbox One X. If I’m being completely honest, I’ve become a bit obsessed with trying out each new enhanced title. I’ve also noticed Microsoft put a lot of focus on its exclusive 360 games from last gen (The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, Fable Anniversary, Forza, etc.). -- Xbox Enthusiast
I wish they’d spend more time enhancing games from this generation than from the last
For exclusives like crackdown then I get that, but fable and the witcher2 I've had in 4k60fps for years with an expensive gfx card. However for those without pc I get it
"The four most recent Xbox One X enhanced games were all Xbox 360 console exclusives. Coincidence? I think not! Let’s talk about that as well as Xbox’s recent announcement of its monthly show, Inside Xbox." -- Xbox Enthusiast
lol they are still touting the best games lineup using the same games they did years ago (how many years do we need to see crackdown, ashen, and state of decay 2?). And think of all the great xbox1 exclusives these past 4 years... Fable... Scalebound... Project Spark... Hololenz... Phantom Dust... those 3 games coming from the black tusk people... Man so many legendary games, no wonder everyone loves xbox 1
Good luck on the future exclusives.
Microtransaction-ridden services is what it mostly boils down to. They're doing a fantastic job with the legacy support for exclusives (and games in general) of the past though. I can see why they want to draw attention to the exclusives of past though. The glory days are much more ideal to promote than what happens to be their worst generation ever.
Probably didn't need to be made. Should have spent resources on a new game.
