TechRaptor - Ubisoft is claiming that Rocksmith is the fastest and easiest way to learn how to play the guitar. Their commercials proudly proclaim that numerous people have gained basic to advanced skills in a mere 60 days by playing Rocksmith for one hour a day. Their website even claims that existing players benefit, citing Toluna Consumer Survey as saying “95% of Players Improved At Guitar”. They also claim that “Over 1 million people have played Rocksmith and improved their guitar skills”.

I have it and it is awesome!! I'm learning Weezer - Say it ain't so, right now. It works really well by slowly adding in notes as you learn more. Very Fun way to learn guitar.
Hey guys, thanks for the comments and reading John's article. My question to someone who already knows the guitar: Will it help your technique and understanding of music theory? I (Jason) have played the guitar off and on for 15 years now. I learned songs the old fashioned way by listening to it over and over and reading tabs. I'd love to learn theory and be able to put thing together on the fly. Does Rocksmith do that in any way?
