IGN:The Evil Within Director Shinji Mikami looks back on the survival horror genre.
Veteran video game developer Shinji Mikami has established a new company.
That’s according to a bio of the developer on the new Shadows of the Damned Hella Remastered website, which claims that Mikami has recently founded ‘Kamuy Inc’.
No details further details on the company have been shared. There is also no indication of what the company will do.
Shinji should never stop making games. Kinda crazy he left the funding of M$ though.
I remember when it was announced that he was leaving Tango, someone on N4G claimed that he was old and it was time for him to retire.
I couldn't help but laugh at the ignorance. Mikami (like most Japanese people), do not want to work for Microsoft, they want their games to be played by their fellow citizens, which means Switch, Playstation, and PC. But this fool couldn't comprehend that. 🤣
Was waiting for his return announcement, glad to see that he's back! Please don't make mobile games.
I hope it's still survival horror
They should build on what they did with Evil Within for a new IP and take notes from the Evil Within sequel with those open hub areas.
Wouldn't mind if it was like Resident Evil but with a vampire virus instead.
Yeah this man's skills need a new start to thrive. Hope he keeps doing what he loves. Wonder what his next project is.
If you're looking for 'must have' PSVR 2 games then look no further. These are the 10 titles every PSVR 2 owner should have in their library.
If you're wanting more PSVR 2 support, you should probably buy all of these games.
Speak with your wallet!
I'm trying to decide if it's worth holding onto my psvr 2. I enjoy what it has currently, but it seems unlikely to get anything else. Might be better off just waiting for something with more support if that ever comes.
GT7 surprised me, because I hate racing games, but i poured 100 hours into it way too quickly.
I’m looking forward to the Metro VR game this year, and I hope that WW2 dogfighter game releases eventually.
I have most of them 😅
Waiting for a sale on Synapse and Arizona Sunshine 2.....also Metro coming this year looks great.
Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that the multiplatform title Resident Evil 4 has sold over 7 million units worldwide approximately one year after its release.
RE4 and REmake are the best Resident Evil games
although I have a huge soft spot for Resident Evil 2 also but you could play RE4 and REmake now and they have aged fantastically well
"I decided to work more action into Resident Evil 4. Resident Evil 4 would have been a more scary, horror-focused game if the remake had sold well.”
I'm a tad confused here...I'm not saying I don't like RE4, it's absolutely amazing in my opinion but one of the small flaws they needed to improve on in RE5 was toning down the action a little bit and adding more horror (something we never got in RE5). It nearly had action and horror balanced out they just needed to improve on that instead of going over the top
I mean he's saying he added it because the RE remake failed but the problem is they only released it on the Gamecube....THE GAMECUBE. The remake would of sold a ton on the PS2 and that could of changed the future of RE forever, hell it might not of been ruined in RE5.
So I don't get why he's surprised it failed when it was there own fault of just releasing it on that one platform.
RE4 is THE worst RE ever ... ruined the series... is even worse than 5 ...now capcom wonders why is loosing money with the abortions (RE5,RE6,RE mercenaries,RErevelations) that followed ...SHinji made a terrible mistake to turn the series action oriented and one of the reasons that RE remake failed is that stayed exclusive for the failed Gamecube console
