This game is so full of content and most of it is simply fantastic. It has become my new favorite stealth game.

And I just have to say "wow" when it comes to the visuals. I am playing the game on PC and it looks gobsmackingly good.

For a game based all around light and shadows you can really tell that Ubisoft put particular care into this area, as these are the highest quality shadows I have ever seen in a game. You can be super close to a shadow and it never becomes noticeably grainy or jagged the way shadows in most games do.

The lighting is also probably the best I have seen--the way light filters into a room and lights objects in subtle different ways is utterly convincing. The light shafts also look to be of a higher precision than in most games and don't have any of that banding you see in a lot of other games.

Anyway, I really recommend this game. It is amazing. With the quality campaign, co-op, spies vs mercs and all the other content this game offers it is one of the best ways you could spend your money.

What was your previous "favourite stealth game"?

Syphon Filter and Metal Gear Solid! But Splinter cell has taking over the Stealth action genre this generation. It really doesn't have competition this generation. MGS4 was a great game but its old now.

I know it's a little late to answer you, but I'll do it anyway.

Chaos Theory was my previous favorite game in the Splinter Cell series, while Tenchu Stealth Assassin's and Thief The Dark Project for their time were outstanding high points in the stealth genre.

Great game play here, although have to add I have some issues with control pad lay-out.

This is very, very minor, but during cut scenes have to say not really liking the odd facial design of the characters, must be those weird looking eyes..

Choice of content features are immense.
