This Wild West meets brawler game is surprisingly fun. COG shares their thoughts about this neat little beat ‘em up.
"With the advent of digital downloads, the gaming industry has been treated to a revival of long forgotten genres, ushering in a new wave of roguelikes, space-sims, and beat-em-ups for a younger generation to enjoy. Better yet, many of these new titles have begun to experiment with the blending of genres, from metroidvania brawlers (Guacamelee) to fish massacre simulators (Ridiculous Fishing)."
When comparing Dusty Revenge with the competition, it clearly takes advantage games like Shank or Dragon's Crown are clearly superior in almost all respects. However the first impact with Dusty Revenge is interesting, thanks mainly to good graphics. Do not be intimidated by anthropomorphic characters because the game is not so childish. The story is not fantastic, but it goes very dark and macabre despite anthropomorphic characters sites. The atmosphere is a mixture old westerns and steampunk.
Games in Asia: "We’ve got a nice mix of FPS games, mobile games, a rhythm game and a beat-em-up this week. Can you guess what they are?"
Dusty Revenge is great. It’s slick, stylish and chock full of content.
