If one is selling bad it's up to the company to sort that out not us gamers we are the ones who should sit back relax and have a controller in our hands playing the games we like the most on the consoles of our choice
This is an opportunity for them. If they really push this momentum and expand the trade-in program maybe they can get the majority of Xbox fans on X and then do a few X exclusives.
It's odd/ironic seeing Xbox shills go crazy over resolution. If they cared about resolution so much they wouldn't have bought an Xbox One 4 years ago. I guess they need something to grasp on to because it's looking pretty bleak for them. But I can't really blame them for wanting a new console since the Xbox One is garbage.

I still think if your going to purchase a PS4 or and X1 it's bset to purchase the original PS4 and the X slim. The Slim is getting dwarfed but I still think it's a pretty nice piece of tech. They are making a HUGE mistake by not keeping the Slim relevant.
Same thing happened to PS4 Slim when Pro launched. A few weeks down de road and the Xbox One S will be the best selling Xbox One console again. :)
X1X has been coming since June 2016. Didn't stop Xbox One S from beating PS4 in a few NPDs last year. Xbone low sales is the result of a much larger issue, not because of Project Scorpio or X1X. PS4 sales didn't slowed last year because of Pro. LOL. Pro was announced in September last year. XboneS beated PS4 in July and August last year. So, it's before Pro.
Pro was leaked as "Neo", not announced officially like Project Scorpio with official specs. Slim was stolen few weeks before official announcement, yes.
But a majority of buyers knew the pro was coming out so it slowed sales of org PS4 also. Same is happening with Xb1s and XB1X. But in the end XBX1 will sell more in Nov & Dec, then it will be back to the norm of PS4/Pro outselling XB1/XB1X here on out. But if Sony drops price of Pro by $50 who knows what will happen in Nov/Dec?

The xb1slim tanked in #s just after the holidays and i see the "beastly" xb1x doing the same thing. All it offers over the slim is better resolution... If yall xbox dudes wanted better resolutions clearly you went and bought a ps4pro or pc... Sooo whats left is the x amount of xb1 consumers that didnt upgrade...
Now, the xbox dudes are grasping at straws why the xb1slim is failing... Cant wait to hear their excuses 6-12 months from now.
Sony had it's strongest holiday of sales ever last holiday. Probably part of it was due to PS4P, but only about 20% of the consoles sold were that version, however, actual sales for that period were up more than 20% from the years prior. They had record software sales as well.
Where is this notion that people were waiting it out for PS4P coming from? For the most part, Sony's reported PS4 sales have been pretty consistent YOY, with spikes when big games drop, and then the big spike when they released the PS4P.

Few of them ( cheaper and expensive one ), yes. But not announced straightforward like with Project Scorpio.

The X sold in one hour what the pro have sold in 2017 on Amazon. The X Will outsell the pro by the end of this year.

GS is always pleased or excited over new hardware launching. It tends to push business into their store. I've never seen them say bad things about new hardware....even the WiiU.
If something wasn't selling well, they wouldn't say so, because it doesn't help them sell systems if people think something isn't that popular, or they can easily wait it out to buy.

xsta1ker - that's where your wrong, a few frames here and there, a little pop- in means nothing. The PS3 overtook the 360 because of exclusives, MS watching their lead dwindle year on year didn't wake them up to this fact.
But we have the most sales for COD and exclusive rights blah blah. Now Sony has that in the arsenal as well as exclusives.
MS are just looking for the easy way, they'll spend more on advertising/marketing than actual game development.
They are, and will always be 3rd in console gamers eyes.

the gap is now over 30mil units worldwide. by the time the XboneX is out, I guess it will easily be over 35mil by then. the only way for the xbone to "be a quite a bit closer to Sony's consoles than most people thought possible" like you said is for it to start outselling the PS4 heavily or the gap is only gonna get wider. but how? I can't see the X selling well aside from the US and maybe UK but that's about it. I think instead of looking at the PS4, MS should be looking out for the Switch or how to at least get to 50 mil at the rate that they are selling.
I think you better lower your expectation as this gen is already done and dusted. the X is just another excuse for MS to save face this gen. I think they just wanna end the gen with at least "the most powerful console" title in the bag. they are outsold heavily, game sales have been tremendously huge in the PS4's favor and even their once most bragged exclusives in Halo and Gears are not selling gangbusters as they did last gen. I remember last gen when xbox fanboys were calling Uncharted as ripping of Gears's cover mechanic and it will never sell Halo numbers only to be humiliated this gen by UC4. ahh...good times! but hey...at least they have the most power now, right?

Got a switch last month still only have zelda, but will be getting mario+ next week and whenever the physical sonic mania game comes, and golf story comes I'll be getting both of those.
They may not have the quantity of options as the competition but they definitely have the quality. Zelda is one of the best games ever and have about 50 hours in and no where near finishing the game.

I ended up getting Zelda on Wii U instead, I beat it a little while ago. Beat Sonic Mania a few days ago on PS4....that game is just....EPIC CLASSIC SONIC! Post how that Mario Rabbids RPG game is like!

I got mine day 1 just because I wanted Zelda on the Switch and could afford it. Mario Odyssey looks pretty dope and more like Mario64.
I hope they bring Smash Bros Wii U. That is one of the most understandable rereleases to me because it is already such a well balanced game with 50+ fighters. But just add more over the systems lifetime.
Also, when you buy a Switch, get a Pro Controller. It's on the level of a PS4 controller.

Actually just more games. I only buy Nintendo portables for Animal Crossing, Kirby etc. Some games look good like Rabbids Mario RPG game, but not enough to buy it right now, but will buy it Animal Crossing comes out. I ended up getting Zelda on Wii U and beating it. I played it on Switch a few times and I'm happy to have just waited considering.
I have a short list of Nintendo games I do want for it, but Animal Crossing is when I buy. Did it for DS and 3DS, will do the same for Switch. I use to only like the console Animal Crossings, but New Leaf did it right. For the most part, I simply didn't like not being able to have the gameboy player to just play it on TV, but with Switch being able to out to the TV....not a issue, plus after New Leaf, I like the concept of a portable Animal Crossing and put like 300 hours in it.

I want to just use the regular controller set up as much as I can as I don't really see me playing much action type games to really need that controller, but I might get one used if a game comes out that I want to play it with. Animal Crossing and Rabbids RPG are pretty passive games.
The other guy suggested you get a pro controller, I agree. What I don't agree with is saying it is on the "level" of a ps4 controller, it is 100x better than a ps4 controller. It literally was 3 weeks in before I had to charge my controller, compared to having to charge my ps4 one at least once a day. Also it feels perfect in my hand, more so than both the ps4s and xboxs.
So I wholeheartedly endorse getting a pro controller, the thing is a marvel
I still like the gamecube controller and actually wish they just kept using that one and make it wireless or upgrade it or something.

Apple and Google are worth more than both, it's completely irrelevant. Microsoft isn't spending the same kind of money on the Xbox platform that Sony is spending on Playstation.
I wouldn't think so, remember its looking a tad more powerful than a PS4 with more easy room with its 12gbs of memory to work with. The question will be, will their be 2 models of it like a cheap one at 400 but with a 500gb hard drive and a 500 one with the 2tb or something.
A tad more powerful? It's a PS4 Pro and an additional PS4 worth of power out of the GPU. Now if there's an upgraded CPU and more ram it will be far more then a Tad bit more powerful
In terms of vs PS4-Pro I can only imagine it will be a tad better in practice. Some 1800p games will be 4K but because of checkerboard it's not going to make a huge difference.
Now if Scorpio maxed out the 6 TFLOPS by going 1800p and checkerboard with upgraded graphics, we'd see a bigger gap. But few games are going to be especially optimized for Scorpio. They'll get a miniscule res bump and that's it. By time MS comes with a beast app PS5 will be here and it's too little too late.
Devs already make games that scale for pc. Same process. When installed on Scorpio, it unpacks the highest settings.

I think it will be 500 but if they do 400 then it will sell at ludicrous speed. I personally think 500 is a good price with kinect and a elite controller. I still have my kinect but i still think it should be bundled. The elite controller is a must though.

No, going to be another 2 months of rumors. E3 will be concrete details. I just really wonder how they plan to market the thing. What is their end goal of it. Anything short of a full unveil and a clear direction.
What they need to do is start by showing some first party titles that look exciting and new. Just look at the original Xbox, Dreamcast, beginning of the PS3, all of them had more power than the competition but lacked in games. It is very easy to stay in this industry... make games.

Are they really exclusive if they're available on PSOne along with playable on PS2 & PS3? I'm confused as that seems to be the PlayStation ecosystem but oddly Xbox & Windows aren't considered the same as it's not the same platform.
Because if so Xbox has many more exclusives that PlayStation fanboys choose to label as cross platform while products like this are somehow "exclusive". Further with titles moving to PS Now then playable on PC are they still exclusive as it seems that's exactly what MS has been doing but natively and with less cost to the end user.
But, you can pay for those titles again if you wish. The topic Scorpio will play past gen games just the same with no cost to the end user.
Gamestop wants us to voice our opinion for next gen so that they can stay in business. They need to give consumers a big fat discount.
