I played it briefly and while the game seems to have a lot of qualities for a download title, I immediately found the combat too close to that of Witcher 2, especially regarding the approximative parry system, and the lacking target lock with no strafing.
The game also doesn't have a rotating minimap nor custom waypoints, although the environments appeared fairly confined and cutscenes trigger themselves automatically when you get near a questgiver.
Missions also seemed to have pretty good checkpointing, which isn't always the case in such games, in addition to a save anywhere (outside of combat) feature.
Although I only played briefly, I encountered at least one decision that seemed to have significant consequences as far as how the next sequence would play, and it was pretty cool for an indie game.
You also have allies next to you, some for combat missions only, but some are there for the main narrative segments and dialogue. Great as well for an indie.

All in all, it's pretty impressive for a DL title, unfortunately maybe for time/budget reasons they lifted nearly all of the Witcher 2's combat, warts and all.

It did felt a lot like The Witcher 2 but with a lot clunkier combat. It has a very sticky lock-on system (your focus stays with the the previous target for a few second more even though you're looking at another target) that I really hate.

Still it's a pretty decent feat for a small dev and I don't mind if they lifted a lot of things from the Witcher. What new game/movie/TV shows/song that truly is an original piece of work that no one have thought of?
