That was a bad move to defend "always online". Now a lot of ppl are going to think thats what theyre doing & wont bother with it.. Im a sony fan & if sony ditched used games, had mandatory installs & blocked used games all together i would question buying their system.. I really dont care what MS does this time around because i know im getting a great console this holiday season regardless what they do..

I know sony is giving devs the ability to block used games on disc but thats no one knows if they will all use that tech as it might have a fee... If nx box has some great features (besides illumiroom & kinect 2.0) as well as great exclusives, ill consider buying one someday but definitely not for full price.. PS4 is my primary objective because i love what they showed me

I don't understand why it is so difficult for one person to actually post what was said by the person that they are apologizing for. I literally read through all the comments and not one person posted it...all I wanted to know is exactly what he said...

Microsoft announces that new Xbox won't require online to play games...

....then they announce that Halo, Forza, Gears and Call of Duty will all have DRM.

It would make sense if a new console company made it mandatory to be online, but not one that started and has had it's base in offline game play. It would almost be like them saying "our new console will only be able to be played in West Virginia. It's easier to keep people from pirating there and we feel we can make more money off of those people. So you people that don't live there just won't be able to play or can move to West Virginia" Everything Microsoft does is all about money these days and it's making a die hard XBOX fan really sad. This would definitely be a deal breaker for me, being someone that lives in a large city and their area is the only one that gets bad nets.

How about not making fun of people from other countries yea? Kind of immature and disrespectful.

All of what was said on Twitter the other day must be true as far as I can tell. This would of been a great time to just kill/discredit this rumor once and for all if their not true. I mean if MS next gen system really does NOT require always on internet why the hell wouldn't M$ just come out and say so now when everyone is watching? I for one will not buy the M$ nexgen system if these rumors are true!

forget the x720 im not gonna be come a slave to when they allow me to play my games. this is some irobot type control. slavery for gamers. you wont be able to enjoy or discuss your x720 games if u buy one because me and millions of others will be around every corner messing up your discussions on gamefaqs and gametrailers and other sites. do the right thing people. x720 is not for gamers.

For me it was one strike. My first generation Xbox, out of the box, ate my discs and its power supply cable melted(!). The red ring of death kept me from getting a 360(I have friends on their 12th and 4th xbox, another who switched to Sony/PC after to red rings) and now THIS. MS will take a hit from this but they'll still be competitive, and perhaps remain the console leader... But they won't get there with any of my money.
