Actually it makes a lot of sense. I am a Cristian and I don't share any beliefs with Father Comstock. But you don't have to look to a crazy man from a video game to find a twisting of scripture. Just walk to most of ur local churches today.

As far a racism. It reminds me of so many times that some popukar TV or radio personality is called racist etc. because he/she said something. Then when u go listen to it u realize that they were repeating what someone else had said. U can't call a game racist for portraying the evils of a past society. Obviously its some ppl with an agenda who didn't even play it. And if it makes u uncomfortable to play...then good! It should. But this game does a great job of putting u in the shoes of someone that lived at that time so u could know what it was like. Kudos to Irrational for their brilliance.

Lotta things were common in 1912 that we consider offensive today.

Yeah it was 1912.That is how it was. Emphasis on the word 'WAS'. There were lots of things people did a long time ago that we consider offensive now but that doesn't make it any less true. We need to look at dark moments in history not only to see how far we have come but to remember not to let it happen again. We look at the horrors of racism to see how pointless and stupid it is to act now over the difference in someones race

I knew some of the storylines would raise concern but they were accurate to the time that the game was set.
