I hope all the people who complain about COD every year realize AC is on the same path

I know

This has to be fake though, I mean "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag", they have never used a sub title in the main games. If it was Assassin's Creed III: Black Flag then fair enough

Besides it just seems they are going to focus to much on the naval side of AC3 because thats where the new gameplay came into it.

I liked the naval battles but after a while they got boring

Besides the art style of the posters looks nothing like what they would use in AC

If it is real though then I'm done with AC, why milk it that bad to start numbering spin off games as main games

It's not fake. There is gameplay screens starting to leak out, you play as conners grandfather and there is multiple locations in the game such as Jamaica and other islands.
HorrorGod  +   519d ago
Who says it's a spin-off game? It may be numbered because the present day story still follows the events of AC3.

Though, "Brotherhood" and "Revelations" were not numbered, and they continued the present day events with Desmond. So, I don't know why they feel the need to number AND subtitle this installment.

I'm with you. I used to be a big fan but AC3 was a disappointed. I found not only the naval battles but the whole game to be quite boring. There was no challenge and the story was dull. I'll be taking a wait and see approach with the next game, no pre-ordered collectors edition this time.

it looks neat though

Assassin's Creed is just getting put out so quickly. This is kind of crazy.
FarCryLover182  +   519d ago
Especially announcing it THIS early...
Grap  +   519d ago
i am with on that. but it's not like cod Assassin creed have been evolving over the years i can' say it's getting better but definitely not the same game over and over.
anyway Pirates settings sounds awesome.

I just know if that is Connor. I'm not touching it.
Cam977  +   519d ago
Neither am I. I'm not touching it anyway. AC3 left a bitter taste in my mouth and I still haven't completed it. Why? It's just so darn boring!
A2X_  +   519d ago
True, but I would argue that the quality is still there.

AC3 came a year after Revelations. It brought a new engine, character, new world, whole set of new features & a 20 hours-long campaign. It could have benefited from extra polishing time but still is a very decent game imo.

COD, on the other hand, is all about recycling, no graphics upgrade whatsoever from Modern warfare to BO2 and 5 hours single player campaigns.

I'll never complain as long as the quality is there.

So your saying there not changing anything in the game-play?
Canary  +   519d ago
I hope all the people who complain about Assassin's Creed being an annual franchise as though that somehow lessens the quality of the products would realize that so far, every Assassin's Creed game has produced a far more complete, far more compelling, far more diverse and far more dynamic experience than all of the Call of Duty games this generation combined.
Gamer-40  +   519d ago
This what?

Call of Creed? But the pirates theme very interesting.
I hope, next-gen.

Mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooo oooo!
FarCryLover182  +   519d ago
You might not want to imitate a cow.... Ubisoft or Kotick might decide to milk you.

Oh god . . .

now another AC Vita announce could make my day...

Naval battles were really fun in AC3. I enjoyed them thoroughly. So if it makes an improved return, nice.

But still, a break wont hurt Ubisoft.
Thefreeman012  +   519d ago
If this pirate thing is true I won't be happy ... The ship fighting was kinda fun but kind of gimmick-y... I don't want q full game made from a gimmick
KaBaW  +   519d ago
I'm sure there will still be tons of on ground playing.
I just think if it is pirates, the naval gameplay will be more a focus.
Blastoise  +   519d ago
So everyone asks for Japan and Victorian London and they give us Pirates? lol
Donnieboi  +   519d ago
It's their franchise. If they don't feel motivated by those other locations (yet) then they won't go there. As artists they have to follow their heart first if it is to feel genuine.

However, they really should put more time into making their games. Releasing yearly is really putting a dent into this franchises polish and quality.
aliengmr  +   519d ago
Yearly release's is the antithesis of following your heart and "artistic integrity".

Follow the money more like.

Don't forget Revolutionary France!

The best part of AC3 was the naval missions. The rest was a mess. I still haven't gone back since the glitched #10 tunnel issue. Wonder if it's been patched yet...

But yeah, the water in AC3 looks awesome. The mission with the huge waves was just awesome as well.

I didn't get AC3 until after Christmas. (I was still taking my time with RE6)
It had a few updates when I popped it in, though I had read about all the problems people had at launch. But, when I played it, I had zero problems.

I'm glad I waited on buying it, or else I'm sure it would have left a bad taste in my mouth, like many of the people who picked it up on day 1.

Not that it's their fault. We all expect to buy a finished game on day 1, and not have to wait for patches to fix a bugged game.
profgerbik  +   519d ago
No.. pirates.. no.

After I finished Ac3 I really started to dislike the series, but this pirate thing has me intrigued. Although I will wait for a price drop if I am to buy the game.
RFornillos4  +   519d ago
i have always thought that this is just a DLC for AC3. AC3's already got naval missions so it makes sense to make a DLC for it.

as for AC4, what i've read is that they mentioned that it will feature a different hero and a different timeline.
Max-Zorin  +   519d ago
I hope you can make people walk the plank.
