After watching the Watch Dog demo at the PS4 even my hype level for GTA 5 has dropped from a 10 to a 5.

Those jaggies in GTA 5 are hurting my eyes :(

kingmushroom4070d ago

what i find iteresting about GTAV is how they want to make missions feel like block buster Hollywood film. that concept art where there robing a store in Beverly hills looks very Breaking Bad.

Watch Dogs looks stunning, hacking with your phone everything and everyone look refreshing in a open world games.

GribbleGrunger4070d ago

Here's a thought: Perhaps GTA was delayed because they want to be able to release a next gen version alongside a 360/PS3 version.

xPhearR3dx4070d ago

That and maybe a PC version too. One can only hope.

AzaziL4070d ago

The PC version is all but guaranteed with next gen consoles being identical in hardware to PCs. Gone are the days where a game developed on a console would require extensive re-coding to port to PC and visa versa.

teedogg804070d ago

It would be cool if later on they released an enhanced version for PS4. I would love to see that happen.

Moonman4070d ago

Don't worry, everything is coming to the beast that is PS4. :)

Dfooster4070d ago

they will have spent years building assets that are optomised for this gen. this is really a dumb idea

SAE4070d ago

Maybe it's a next generation game from the start but they will port it to current generation?..

N0S3LFESTEEM4070d ago (Edited 4070d ago )

Doubt it... most devs make a higher poly count model first then shave it down. GTA 4 has some impressive geometry even 5 years later... it really shines with texture mods and Icenhancer. If they do port it over just the boost in resolution and draw distances is all they would need.

Simple Simon needs to give his head a shake!!

Cost of realistic looking movement.

Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…

Profchaos36d ago (Edited 36d ago )

Oh and hundreds of millions of dollars in revanue to boot.

Lots of complaints about gta ever since the hd era started and yet it's bugger than its ever been with gta vi up to 180 million trailer views alone. The next game is shaping it be be another genre defining game

MetalGearsofWar36d ago

They already learned they dont have to actually make a great game

sagapo36d ago

The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.

Zhipp35d ago (Edited 35d ago )

I did accidentally beat someone to death a couple times. An unfortunate mistake but besides that I didn't have any problems with the controlls

jznrpg36d ago

Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games

Profchaos36d ago

I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
