ZTGD | Special Forces: Team X Review

Drew Leachman writes: This generation has seen the third person shooter genre gain an enormous foothold in the market. For a new property to be successful, it needs to innovate. When I first saw game play footage of Special Forces: Team X, I immediately thought of SOCOM. The cel-shaded art style had me intrigued, and even though that might differentiate it from Zipper Interactive’s military series, the game play comparisons are easy to draw. Zombie Studio has style, but the game play is too familiar to stand out.

GameFocus - Special Forces Team X Review

GameFocus - You sneak up on an enemy camp seemingly left abandoned. As you approach a blue buzzing satellite, prepared to hack your way in, you notice the screen flash red. Before you can turn to take cover, your body goes limp and you fall to the ground. Only after your untimely death do you see the two soldiers hiding in the rafters, reveling in their kill. If Special Forces: Team X has one major drawback, it is that gamers have been here before.
