Considering the vast size of the Mass Effect universe I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it next. Hell, they could even set it entirely in a different galaxy.
Why would you want such an excellent trilogy exclusive to anything? Pointless console loyalties aside, I would much rather thousands more gamers got to experience my game than cater to leetists that obsess over which console is superior.
Ive never been a fan of Mass Effect but Id like to get into the franchise one day.
From what Ive been hearing about some of the complaints (few as there are) regarding the last ME trilogy, they should make your actions in the ME universe more meaningful, I know they did this quite well in the original ME but apparently messed it up at the end, when it came down to it pretty much all your decisions you've made in the previous games are meaningless and came down to 2 choices which I think was a mistake, given the fact the game was advertised as giving the player freedom to alter what is going on in the ME universe and have a unique experience based on your actions and decisions.
So for the new ME to be more successful they should bring back more of the RPG elements from the original, give you more freedom to explore, and allow for even more decisions and actions to be taken, also they should make sure from the very start that you're decisions you make early on will influence the final outcome of whatever will be the final game in the new series.
Sorry if Im way off here, Im just someone looking from the outside so if Im wrong about anything let me know.
If they make an RPG instead of an action shooter then im all aboard, dont get me wrong, Masseffect 2 and 3 were awesome, but seriously, It felt like i had the same commander sheppard as millions of other people, Mass effect 1 on the other hand, there were infinant possibilities that you could share with your friends, not just You played an aggressive soldier class? Oh, me too.
Mass Effect Universe is probs the best in gaming and possibilities are endless, however mass effect 3 was trying to be a hollywood movie more than the rest of the series and think they should go back to the roots.
I would be if Bioware wasn't famous for breaking promises, lying, and doing everything that the fans don't want. Also since all the good devs at bioware quit and all the writers who worked on everything pre-mass effect 2 quit, there is no one left who knows what the old bioware was like and what quality in a game meant.....it's a shame what greed can do to a very talented group of people.
Well, next-gen consoles will give Bioware the opportunity to create a larger galaxy than the last three games put together, so I hope they don't give us another rush job like ME3.
I want Shepard back. Her/his story isn't complete...¬_¬
I wonder if The Illusive Man and Cerberus would be the enemy of this game? Or the goodies? There are many more possibilities and opportunities, it'll be interesting to see what they do.
