Was hoping for some feedback on the article I wrote. I tried to be as supportive of both sides as absolutely possible, listing the appealing virtues of both.

How did I do?

Neither for me. I bought a 3DS for my daughter and I play it once in awhile but to many little kid games on it. I guess if I were to buy one for myslef it would be the Vita but only because it caters more to grown up gamers.

I have both, recommend both. But if I had to choose I would pick the vita. Mainly because it has more games that appeal to my tastes. I like simulated sports for example. The 3Ds has none. But if you like cute casual gaming, the ds is a cheap alternative. If you can afford both the its a win win.
This article will bring fanboys who will say system y is better than system x... to them I say there is no best system there is only the system that appeals to your taste.
If undecided Check the games list for both systems for games that are out and games that are coming soon. See what you like and Make your decision from there.

PS Vita of course, better hardware will lead to better software. 3DS was the best handheld hardware wise for a while and look at all the great stuff it has gotten over time.

Just give the PS Vita time.

I haven't really compared my 3DS to my PSVita but let me take a look at my word documents.

Retail only

I own 20 games
I am planning on buying 19 more games that are announced

I own 6 games
I plan on buying 1 announced game, Final Fantasy X HD

It's lopsided, that's for sure, my favorite Vita game is SMT Persona 4 but the 3DS has three SMT games in their library.

3DS is once again appealing only for the casual and younger gamers of the world.

Maybe if I was a bit younger I'de go with 3DS

i would have had a vita buy now if it a little cheaper with more games that fit my taste also if it was backwards compatible i would have got it on launch if i could play my crisis core kingdom hearts and other games

Get both and play all what they have to offer.

I would prefer to get a Vita over 3DS by far because is, hardware/design-wise the best handheld ever grace this planet, but as a JRPG fanatic I cant get a VITA when I see games like Fire Emblem, Monster Hunter, Dragon Quest VII remake & the new upcoming Monolith Soft (Xenoblade creators) game on 3DS & as I never have a DS & 3DS have the capability to play all the games of it's predesesor & I'm sure that I can find a lot of JRPG gems to play there also so my choice when I decide to get new handheld is obvious, it's all about the games each one prefer in the end.

(Note)None of the 3DS owners names any games. I had 3DS and I can say I enjoyed Tales of abyss, Mario 3D Land, and Paper Mario. While on PSVita I enjoyed Persona 4, Uncharted GA, Gravity Rush, Sound Shapes, Ragnarok O, Wipeout, Shinobido 2, and AC3 L. I have PS free games rule.

lets change the question, which one of the two handhelds would be more likely to be stolen or robbed in a secondary school or college? the one which is more likely, is the one you should buy because it is actually worth it!

i'll give you a clue... the one which is more expensive, about 15 times more powerful, a way better design, and has more hardcore 'badboy' 'sikk' games on!
