cl1983  +   688d ago

They support Windows PC with software , Just not what everyone wants. besides making the console games available on PC defeats the console concept for them & why would the want to close a revenue stream for them.
N0S3LFESTEEM  +   688d ago
Microsoft can't find a way to charge a monthly fee on PC.
DeadlyFire  +   687d ago
Don't worry Valve will birth a Linux console box and at somepoint down the road when their OS evolves we will see Valve's version of Linux released that we can install and not even have to touch Windows to play a game. One day!!

If Valve released Half Life 3 for instance only on their Linux console/Linux OS version. I would buy that even if it ran on potato chips with minecraft like graphics. Valve effectively holds a majority of the PC gaming community. If they shift then we will see a steady shift following them.

microsoft can go screw themselves
ninjahunter  +   688d ago
Lol, Microsoft want PC users to game... On a 360.
kostchtchie_  +   688d ago
ha ha, that is nothing new, they should just go back to making crap Software and putting garbage in it, and stay away from gaming
kagon01  +   688d ago
Charge them for playing online, plus spamming with ads to be specific...

There are different kinds of people. They aren't one entity. Opinions vary.
kostchtchie_  +   688d ago

kevnb  +   688d ago
halo 1 and 2 are on pc, and after halo 2 there wasnt much point in the sequels.
Norrison  +   688d ago
This, the only exclusive I wanted to come to PC was Alan Wake, and it did happen :)
Jason143  +   688d ago
Halo doesnt even have iron sights. Only game to pull it off was l4d
FarCryLover182  +   688d ago

shackdaddy  +   688d ago
Have you even played any shooter game before this gen? Plenty of awesome games don't have iron sights (or sprinting for that matter).

Why would a suit that electronically corrects the guns aiming and displays where it is point in the visor need iron sights?

Fool.

Not to sound like a tool , but finally some common senses has been handed out. P.S SWEET.
profgerbik  +   688d ago
Of course not they want the money all to themselves. I guess being a multi-billion dollar company is just not enough for some people.

I don't see SONY releasing GT5 on Steam.
pandehz  +   688d ago
Even tho I badly want to play it on my pc, its actually very good sign for xbox gamers

In the sense that it means MICROSOFT IS DESPERATELY CLINGING ON TO THE XBOBX GAMERS AND WITHOUT THEM MICROSOFT COULD TAKE A HUGE BLOW.

Well u know what to do xbox gamers, the ball is in your court. Dictate your terms and demand whatever the hell u want and ms should give it to you. If not then just unsubscribe from live and their monthly or quarterly reports will make sure you get what u want. A small hint of players losing interest and MS will roll over lmao.

If they cant let go of a game it means they dont have too much to provide. So xbox players have a good 2013 bullying MS.

SIMPLE INNIT

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't there already a PC version of one of the halo games available?
SJPFTW  +   688d ago
the first two halo's so Halo 1 and Halo 2 are on PC
DeadlyFire  +   687d ago
Yes, but very old.

Halo 1 and Halo 2, but neither are on STEAM yet. This whole Valve vs. Microsoft thing must be getting to them because Games for Windows Live/Xbox LivePC can't be implemented the way they want it in a Steam title.

I am surprised honestly that Microsoft even answered this. Its more attention to PC gaming than I have seen them give in awhile.
maelstromb  +   688d ago
Microsoft's "commitment to PC gaming" has so far turned out to be nothing but hot air, and this is yet another major example to back that up. Sure, their main concern is selling 360 hardware and gaining that sure-fire install base, but squandering the potential in other very viable markets, like the PC gaming market, is the equivalent of shooting themselves in the foot.

Apparently exclusivity and alienation run in the same circles @ M$.

It's funny how you'd probably say something about Xbox losing exclusives if this deal had gone through.
Saryk  +   688d ago
Valve tells MS, I hate your OS and just to show you how much, I am going to make a console that competes with your console.

And you guys actually think MS is going to just put Halo on Steam! Funny!
NiteX  +   688d ago
MS has lied before ya know. I'm betting Halo 3 will be on PC this year.
CynicalKelly  +   687d ago
Games often sell horribly on the PC. I do not blame them.
