DG: Polarbit is a renowned developer in the world of mobile gaming, not the least due to their Reckless Racing series which is a fan favorite. Their latest endeavor brings us Cracking Sands, a game that promises action-packed death races featuring small karts and big guns. Does it deliver on that promise though?
TouchGen: Polarbit is well known for frantic racing experiences such as Reckless Racing, Reckless Getaway, Wave Blazer and Raging Thunder. Now their kind of old Windows Phone game Cracking Sands has finally made it’s way to iOS. Having played the Windows Phone game ever since trying the Nokia Lumia 900 this Summer I was not that impressed. Seeing it released for iOS made me hope for some major updates to the controls, and core gameplay. Sadly the enhancements made to the game are more about adding features than making the racing experience more pleasant.
AppSmile: Cracking Sands, a combat kart racer from Polarbit, is now available from the app store. Featuring lots of customization options, multiple race types, and online multiplayer, Cracking Sands has a lot going for it, but the gameplay just isn’t all that compelling.
148apps: Cracking Sands is a top-down racer for iOS that provides plenty of content and hours of gameplay.
