Haven't played either of these games before, for the people who have, how excited should we be?

Hope it is developed by Atlus, and has the same mature themes of their games, but set in the world of FE, I think it will be something like Devil Survivor in game play.

Well Fire Emblem is a great strategy rpg series and the Shin Megami Tensei series is one of the best strategy rpg series. Mix in the two and you get an epic game.

Fire Emblem is a system buyer for me.
Nintendo's Intelligent Systems is a great division.

- The stories are written well.
- The cut scenes are brilliant.
- The game play is easy to play but hard to master.
- Challenging.

The counsel version w/ Ike does not sell as well as the handheld version. So, hopefully the addition of Shin Megami Tensei both titles will sell more.

Plus, it is a good to see ATLUS and Nintendo back together again...
If Square(/Enix) gives WiiU a proper Final Fantasy I would think I was time traveling.

Atlus' Ogre Wars used to be a big game for Nintendo.

If Square would give any platform a decent Final Fantasy it would be a small miracle.

Do agree with you on the Atlus remark :)

"Funny" Bubble-up

> I haven't played the most recent FF's but I have heard that before.

@ Zhipp "Interesting"

True it's not like the old days when Nintendo had very few RPG after Square left for Playstation.
And Monolith and Mistwalker are great + now they have Enix's (of Square/Enix) Dragon Quest.

But the more AAA games the better- and who know maybe Square and Nintendo will, like the old days, make each other better.

I'm still waiting for SE to release a true sequel to FF:Crystal Chronicles. I don't think the Wii U is in needs a new main FF title, though. Not with Mistwalker and Monolith both developing titles for it, anyway.

I had the weirdest feeling that this was a 3DS exclusive. Curse you false intuition! Just another game to look forward to. I like the Fire Emblem games and I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Shin Megami Tensei series. Not to mention a ton of my friends are big Persona fans.

I want this game so much, I am a huge Atlus and Fire Emblem fan. I understand if some people could careless about Fire Emblem. I respect that, but some of us are crazy about that series.

Even for those who don't care about Fire Emblem this is still incredible news. Why? Because we now have Atlus working on or with another company on a game for the WiiU. Which means they are going to get familiar with what the WiiU can do and that opens the door for more Atlus games for the WiiU. This is a big deal as Atlus makes some of the most fantastic jrpgs on the market.

Fire Emblem has wonderful SRPG gameplay, so If you have not tried it you truly are missing out on a unique and awesome experience. I think I will be buying both 3ds and Wii U versions.

I'd like to see some gameplay. I love smt but though I respect fire emblem I could never enjoy that gameplay ( not my cup of tea). I want this game but I need to know what kinda game it'll be.

jrpg? How do you know it's not a cross fighting game? That wasnt a trailer! All that was shown was character art? No need to get your panties moist.
Seisan  +   571d ago
I know it is a JRPG because Index stated as such. Also, it doesn't matter what the content of the trailer is. It is still an official trailer released by Nintendo and it still sends the same message to fans: "These two franchises are coming together. Get excited".
