Slightly harsh review but this game isn't the highly polished gem we were hoping for. Here's a copy/paste of my "review" from this post: http://n4g.com/news/1160591...

I bought this for the Wii U last night and have to disagree with the score above. The game is OK but I wouldn't give it 8.5/10 (more like 6/10)

While the game looks quite good, the voice acting funny and the sprawling caves varied - the game lacks polish.

Some people are complaining of total lock-ups which I haven't experienced. But I have experienced the occasional frame-rate drop or jerky scrolling. The controls are also odd, allowing 2/3 player co-op but at any time you can take over a character being "occupied" by another player - last night I threatened to beat a friend half to death with the Pro Controller because he kept accidentally using the D-pad and "stealing" my character. I realise the game is supposed to be co-op, but selecting characters and changing camera focus actually gets in the way of the game... Eventually we just switched to single player while the other player rolled blunts (which may have added to the confusion but it's how we play most games).

Another annoyance is the inability to play the game off-TV. The Gamepad touch-screen is ONLY used for character selection - combine that with the frame-rate issues and I can only assume this is another rushed Wii U port.

Don't get me wrong, the game isn't terrible, just flawed. Especially when there's a MUCH better puzzle platformer available for the Wii U: Although the gameplay isn't entirely the same, the concepts are close enough to put this game firmly in Trine 2's shadow.

Ron Gilbert has long ago lost his touch.

I don't know if I'll like this game, I love nearly everything double fine has made, but the latest ron gilbert games I thought to be quite average at best (swarm and deathspank, I think?)
