I don't think this is the right move for Wii U right now. Wii U needs games with strong potential to be big hits in the market; MOTHER just doesn't answer to that.
So basically a series of rehashed Mario games that will sell. I honestly don't care for Nintendo's profits (or any company's); I only care for games I enjoy and the MOTHER games were some of them.

Nintendo needs a good first party, console JRPG series again.
At this point, who knows when or if we'll see another console RPG Paper Mario.
