I'm sure this update is only for the in game store feature, if it was a balance patch we would have known about it.

So they almost destroy Sackboy but barely touch Raiden and Kratos; the two that are most overpowered. Why..? >_>

Edit: And thanks for the link!

dgonza404104d ago

^ seriously, they're garbage. Kratos and Raiden earn their finishers waaaayy too quickly and they're waaaay too effective. You don't need skill to play as these guys at all.

Veneno4104d ago

Yeah thanks for the link!!

@ Kangaroo Sam

There were some nerfs to Kratos in that list of changes. That homing graple move he does was his scrubbiest cheapest move and now its weaker and more punishable. Thats huge!

But the changes to Nathan Drake were pretty much junk.

HarryMasonHerpderp4104d ago (Edited 4104d ago )

I don't think Raiden is overpowered.
He's just a good character, Kratos though is definitely overpowered just spam forward and square HADES AWAITS.

Y_51504104d ago (Edited 4104d ago )

Oh so the only character that can repeatedly keep getting you in a throw then attack repeat which yu can't block and Raiden can do that as long as he wants. Raiden is the most overpowered character, I hope they fixed the problems with him.

Edit: I think they did fix it!
Also I notice they increased Drakes cover start up. So his "problems" hasn't been address yet.

HarryMasonHerpderp4104d ago

But you can just role out of the way after you have been in a throw, you like flash and go invincible for like a second and can't be hit after you have been grabbed? I play as Raiden (not biased honest) and I've never been able to spam anyone with anything as Raiden. Besides I wouldn't spam anyway because it's a hollow victory and I would feel like a douche lol.

KangarooSam4104d ago

Very nice. Hate it when you have to wait 3+ minutes to find a match, that is ridiculous and should be unheard of in this day and age.

Also, I hope that they nerf Kratos and Raiden. I'm not whining 'cause I'm bad at the game, they're just really OP. Then again Sackboy was my main character and he is not so great after his nerfing.

Anyway, updates are always appreciated and SuperBot is great so glad to hear it.

Back in the PS2 days broken fighting games stayed broken. For better or worse. Glitches & bugs in ps2 games had to dealt with or it wouldn't sell.

Oh how times have changed.

I_am_Batman4104d ago

It isn't broken though. They are just improving it a little over time.

Sevir4104d ago

Kratos and sweet tooth are the most over powered and unbalanced characters in the game.

TheFirstClassic4104d ago

How is sweet tooth overpowered? I haven't seen many people use him well. He can chain into his level 1, but it isn't that easy to do, and his level 2 sucks and his level 3 isn't too hard to dodge. He doesn't have very good combos either.

Veneno4103d ago

I would agree that Sweet tooths normal attack game is annoying with the land mines, shotgun, and shoulder bash, but his weak Supers keep him from being top tier and in this game thats what matters most.

Had this game used traditional health bars then yes Sweetooth would be a very deadly character.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Launched 10 Years Too Early

Though PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a bit of a cult classic, it could have been a big hit if it launched in 2022 instead of 2012.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69514d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop514d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard514d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi514d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin514d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus521d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer520d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
