He was in Dubai for a press conference to celebrate Metal Gear's 25th Anniversary, and there was also a meet and greet yesterday. Just an FYI.

Hey, what's up sonyngp? Thanks for reading, and commenting. I dont know. I understand that. It just doesn't seem Konami would put up such large amounts of money for just PR on a game not even developed by them and so late in the matketing cycle. Even if it also happens to be their 25th anniversary. Unless that investment were attached to a project that would make them a return to justify the expense. I don't see Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance a title developed outside the company and not even using Kojima's much trumpeted fox engine to be that game to warrant such a massive investment. Again though this is just my opinion. I mean nothing more by it.

There is probably a significantly big enough fanbase in the Middle East. Apparently fans from all over the Muslim world came to Dubai, even from non-ME places like Pakistan.

Also, Rising is published by Konami. And Kojima is Vice President of Konami Digital Entertainment as well as director of Kojima Productions which is producing the game. He is also a bit of a celebrity developer. So it makes a lot of sense for him to go personally to meet and greet.

As for the tweets, that's just his habit. He tweets pics of everywhere he goes and many times, the food he eats too.

it's amazing that these idiot "journalists" can take something like going to dubai to mean that it's going to be the next location in the new metal gear game...
