I would like to see some kind of online component like demon's souls/dark soul's but more fallout oriented like maybe show on the map where your friends are or some kind of hint on the map left by your friends, something like that would be nice.

I want them to make it for pc first. Wouldn't want this game to pull a RE,Splinter cell, Dead space 3 and before the wider audience.

My response to your idea:
grailly  +   1043d ago
I mostly agree, though the things they wanted were mainly: "make it better!"

I disagree though that the faction weren't good. I loved having the factions in fallout: NV, starting a few missions with each and having to make a choice once they asked you to attack another one was fun. It also introduced very different endings which is greatly appreciated. Hey, it's nice to see choices have consequences, for once!

2 more things:
-i want it to be a sequel if possible, Fallout 3 had a great setting and atmosphere
-the overweight/limited item carrying thing need to go away
Kurt Russell  +   1043d ago
Item limit most certainly does not need to go away. And a new place in the wasteland would be nice to see.

One thing that they do need to change are the amount of Money merchants have. It's incredibly annoying having picked up tons of loot in the wasteland, hoping to sell it off but only being able to sell off a small portion of it because the merchants only have 500 to 1000 currency (or a little bit more if you waste your skills/perks to get them to have a little bit more). I'm sure they could work some logical credit system into the story instead of only having physical currency.

A form of faster transportation would be nice too. Bicycle, motorbike, motorcycle (was already in fo3), horses, hoverboards, parachute or wingsuit (if they decide to make the game a little bit more vertical), jetpacks, or hell even sprinting. Walking around the wasteland exploring is really fun for a long time, but after a while, you just want to get where you need to go when you've seen most everything around you. And you can't tell me a few of those things wouldn't be really cool.

I do think there should be more options for increasing carrying capacity though. Like having to sacrifice skill points in guns or something in order to have more capacity. They need more options for it than FO3 had which pretty much only had increase strength I believe.

I would like more Item Tabs or at least be able to mark items to go to a separate tab. It's a pain to scroll to so much crap that's in my inventory.
grailly  +   1043d ago
maybe a better item management, but item limit is important! hardcore mode in NV made it even more interesting.

weighing out your ammo for food was an interesting idea. but food and water were way to easy to come by. A better version of hardcore would be great.

More Unique Weapons.....I love the challenge of finding those things, especially if your a low level. I used to try and get the Vengeance in Death Claw Sanctuary when I just came out of the vault, I used to go to the tec museum to get some Stealth boys then was tense.

Shame they don't offer that kind of challenge in Elder Scrolls.....mostly everything is just randomly generated weapons wise.

Oh and I know this might sound harsh but don't add children if we can't kill them...look at Mayor Mcreedy in the last game, he was a little prick and I couldn't even blow his smug head off.

I think they should make the weapon plans easier to find. I didn't build many weapons because I never really had the plans for them.

but I agree, more unique weapons.

i want one of these 2 things:
1: take away enemies that fire on you from afar because the player can't shoot at long range without a sniper rifle but the enemies can.
2: give the player the ability to fire far away accurately.

more than often i would lose a ton of health from enemies firing at me from a mile away with SMG's and Pistols.
FunkMacNasty  +   1043d ago
I highly disagree with the artcle's #2 point:

#2 - Make loot more meaningful. The author says that theres tons of loot but all he needs is ammo and health?? Whaaaat!? I found every piece of loot in the Fallout universe to be worth something, even if nothing more than a handful of bottle caps at a vendor - especially when you have recipies/blueprints to make weapons and potions.. you'll wind up looking for coveted and abstract things like railroad spikes, steam guages and toy cars.. And remember the "Rock-IT launcher" from Fallout 3??? Once you build that thing, every peice of loot became valuble ammo. Shooting a teddy bear and bowling pins at enemies at high velocity ftw!!

If there's one thing I want from the next Fallout, its a higher level cap. I could play that game all day!
bitboi  +   1043d ago
It'll be awesome if they made this for the WiiU, the controller would make an excellent Pip-Boy!
Zichu  +   1043d ago
Definitely agree with 1, 3, 5, and 6. Factions is something I enjoyed to be honest, forced you to be even more careful in the Wasteland when wearing certain pieces of armor.

"Fallout: New Vegas was cool but we all know that Fallout is rightfully Bethesda territory, and nobody can nail the post-apocalyptic intensity like them."

What? FNV was made by Obsidian, who is comprised of a lot of people who made the original Fallouts.
PS3Freak  +   1043d ago
I'd like to see the leveling system from Skyrim be adopted.

I find that whenever I reach the level cap I become disinterested. One of the main reasons for doing a quest is to get XP and when xp doesn't mean anything anymore, that becomes a problem for me.

Skyrim fixed that by having a leveling system that was not linear.

Also, I prefer that you level up skills by using them, rather than just applying points to them when you level up like in NV and F3.

Not sure if I agree. Having been a long time fan of the Fallout series (played F1, and F2 to death), the S.P.E.C.I.A.L character system was the staple of the series...

I do like Skyrim's leveling system, but I don't think it "matches" with the Fallout series.
grailly  +   1043d ago
I disagree, I think the fallout system is more fun. When you here that level ding, the pure joy you feel is priceless. in skyrim I didn't really care for levels anymore, most of my stats were high anyway.
PS3Freak  +   1043d ago
To each their own I suppose. Well I do agree with what most of you guys said; don't you find that once you reached the cap, the game kind of loses it's luster?

However one other thing that I think Skyrim improved upon is lockpicking. In Fallout if you don't have the required skill it pretty much tells you "f off come back later". I like how you can still pick master locks in Skyrim even if your skill is low; you just end up wasting several lockpicks trying to find the sweet spot.

banjadude  +   1042d ago
Absolutely! The lock-picking BS in Fallout 3/New Vegas was a major turnoff for me.

I just think Betheseda needs to do a better job balancing XP rewards, b/c it IS true that reaching high levels/the max cap in Fallout 3 and New Vegas is too easy (thus making the game lose its luster).

I kinda hope hardcore mode from F:NV comes back in F4. I thought it was pretty neat that you actually got hungry, thirsty and sleepy. Made looting far more essential, trying to be as thorough as possible ramsacking a whole freaking building full of super mutants just to find a purified water bottle was both intense and hilarious. I hope they don't necessarily remove factions. Both hardcore mode and factions added a really fun new layer of gameplay that i hope gets improved in Fallout 4.
Monsterbro64  +   1043d ago
Srry for the n00b atom bomb question but whats a faction >.<
xXBlondieVanHarlowXx  +   1042d ago
lol, factions were different groups of people stationed around New Vegas,, Most of whom didn't take kindly to each other. Getting closer and cosy with one faction might put you on another factions bad side. Ocassionaly it would put you on a whole towns bad side. Putting on an enemy faction's attire would also make certain factions hostile. Off the top of my head i can think of these factions, New California Republic (NCR), Mr.House, Caesar's Legion, Boomers, Brotherhood of Steel, Followers of the Apocalypse, Great Khans, Enclave, Powder Gangers, and the Kings gang members. Or you could just go solo and eff everyone over lol. It was a gameplay mechanic centered around trust and betrayal and i found it very cool ^_^ unfortunately alot of people found it to be a tedious chore so i'm not sure if it'll be back (,_, )

Fallout 4 needs to keep everything from 3 and NV. The aiming system in NV was better. Hardcore mode and factions were great. Fallout 4 should have more rare weapons. Loved the Lincoln Repeater in F3. NV kinda shyed away from the importance of rare weapons. I say not in DC but close so we can still hear Three Dog! Or in California. After all the BoS is based out of California. Above DC past the Pitt was Super Mutant territory, so if Boss Town rumor is true, we may finally see the origins of Super Mutants.
NewVegasTroop  +   1043d ago
the origins of super mutants??? play fallout 1 is the origin of the super mutants...

I'de like the gore to be toned down, I thought the last iterations of the franchise had to much of an emphasis on gore, I thought it felt useless.

I'de also like more immoral/hilarious choices. giving my companion away to cannibals was one of my best gaming moments this gen.
xXBlondieVanHarlowXx  +   1042d ago
It's a game centered around an apocalyptic wasteland were there is little to now law, add to that every gang member, cannibal, "vampire", slave owner, mutant and tubs full of radiation and i can't see how it would work without alot of gore.
Monsterbro64  +   1043d ago
What would be epic is automobiles or atleast a surviving transportation to get places faster, and when u create weapons they should come in full condition not half. I mean u make them from scratch! Bigger world, in nyc maybe too :D
TheDivine  +   1043d ago
I always thought a motorcycle would be super dope in New Vegas. Could have sold motorcycle armor on XBL and made a fortune lol.

Why do people keep forgetting CO-OP with one other or 2 other friends. My and my brothers have been waiting for YEARS for Bethesda to pick up on this idea, I talk to many people about it they agree, there is money to be made there! It would be amazing to share the experience or go off and build out own reps individually (optional of course).

Also, I want to CONTROL my own faction, not just "be part of it". I want to give the orders and make a difference. At least that's want I wanted out of Fallout 3. Let Elder Lyons retire peacefully take control and I make the wasteland into a seeding repairing civilization (I love playing as a noble hero like Or let people be leaders and do want they want, perhaps rally raiders groups to do your dirty work. Or Leader Mercs and gather vast amounts of wealth and put that wealth to use making improvements in soldiers/BoS/Raider gear (it doesn't have to be limited to these factions).
Azreinoch  +   1037d ago
I have to agree with the majority of the topics in the article, one thing that would be really nice to see though (and I've seen this on quite a few other articles, as well as being a constant subject with my friends) is means of transportation. Add a motorcycle, or a dirt bike, or even some awesome enclave styled transportation like a hover board with tesla coils. A verti-bird would take the cake, but that might be asking too much. .
Honestly though I'd have to say the biggest thing for me, that being a history buff I could not get enough of in Fallout 3, were all the historical artifacts like Lincoln's repeater, hat, etc. Granted the majority of these things were in the Museum Of HISTORY so that's pretty much a given you'd find at least some things in there, but for those that completed the quest "Stealing Independence" quest and got the bill of rights, or found the White House, was that not at least some what cool? I don't know, it could just be my mind warped from all that Jet I took but I would be pretty ecstatic if they put as many actual historical facts as they could into the next location.
