I don't think Kotaku or Kamiya are in fault here. It is the people witnessing this situation who were inflaming it.

Kotaku article was well-constructed pointing out that Japan isn't familiar with PC gaming and chose Kamiya as an example to drive that point. Well, the title was a bit sensational but we know that every news media usually does that to make you read the article so I find no fault here.

Kamiya was pissed because he was used as an example of Japan being oblivious to PC gaming without him knowing or expecting it when he tweeted. Also, some PC gamers were flaming him and it was bad press for him. So I don't find fault in his position.

I blame the stupid readers who get too emotional or don't even read an article beyond the title.

Want to see how many Kamiya fanboys are here on N4G.

Check my disagrees.

Kamiya showed he was brought up by a potty mouth mother.

Kotaku, the Huffington Post of gaming.

This. Definitely not TMZ. Kotaku at least has substance 99% of the time.

For anyone sticking up for Kotaku, the site's editor actually changed the headline and admitted it was in poor taste and unnecessary.

That's basically admitting that they were wrong.

That said, it's a storm in a teacup. I personally wouldn't have changed the headline if I were the editor. If Kamiya wanted to sue for defamation, the fact Kotaku changed the headline would basically be an admittance of guilt.

You make your bed, you lie in it. If Kotaku wants to run sensationalist headlines, I'll fight for their right to do so. But you don't backtrack once you've done it.

I've always liked that about Kamiya. He never hesitates to speak his mind and speaks to his fans if they have questions.

People may also say that he should've read the article, but the thing is that English is clearly not his first language. Besides, why would he read Kotaku? Do you think that those negative Nintendo stories that they've been breaking before and since the Wii U's inception hasn't caught the eye of Platinum Games? Of course it has.

Kamiya thinks they are full of it and I'm inclined to agree.

Bayonetta director is just butt hurt cause Kotaku is saying the obvious thing, Wii U is bound to fail so does Bayonetta 2.

I actually read Kotaku's article before it was posted on N4G cause I actually go there regularly. I didnt see anything wrong with their article at all. Its fair enough you can bash them for their generally low standards of reporting but this article... is not that bad.

Rather you should be discussing why Hideki Kamiya doesnt know about PC's and the Kotaku article gives several points as to why.

Kamiya's reaction was right.

Can't "Anonymous - Internet Police" take Kotaku down?

They're such a force.

Sure, there's freedom of speech (which they uphold), but then there's instances where this is just used to defend a quagmire of bullshit.

Kotaku being the latter. Take 'em down Anonymous.
