if you look at the website its not even a 3ds its a ds lite.
maniacmayhem  +   969d ago
I have to say that this should have been implemented out the gate.
kalkano  +   969d ago
Nope. I'd MUCH rather go the other direction, and play 3DS games on the WiiU (big TV), anyway.

Nintendo is so fucking backwards its ridiculous. Smartglass is ahead of the curve.. Phones evolve and so will the capabilities of smartglass. How are people happy with Nintendo? Maybe I should test out the vitality sensor.. Where can I get one?

they're lost.. Just like Sony. I'm glad an American company came in and show these old school hacks how to get the job done

Lol so paying to play is revolutionary? Having little to no quality games to call your own and abandoning the people who made you who you are today for a whole different audience is showing what an American company is all about? Gtfo lol. Smartglass is trash and wont save Xbox. Sorry but ps3 and wii u destroy 360.

Lol patraiotism in gaming is stupid. Play what's good
Zhipp  +   969d ago
Why would they need a cartridge for this? I would've thought they'd have to foresight to implement any such features into the hardware beforehand.

this is to stream Wii U games to the 3DS . Not anything to do with real connectivity / interactive features between the two . Title is just misleading, should be "To allow game streaming"

Really? This rumor doesn't convince me. I suppose the connectivity could be achieved trough the Wii U wifi system that connects the console to the Gamepad. A much simpler solution; at much, it would only need a patch (IMO).
exfatal  +   969d ago
this is false that mock up was for dslite i believe http://www.nintendo-master....
Yodagamer  +   969d ago
I think you're on to something even the console shown is the ds lite as shown by the stylus placement.

I'm not sure I understand the reasoning for this device. If you own a Wii U, why would you stream your game to the 3DS when you already have the tablet controller?

Also couldn't they simply do this through software?

They could, but it would have a bit more lag involved when compared to the wii u controller. So a chip like this would implement the type of connection that the wii u and tablet controller have.

Here comes another gameboy player you guy's remember that, I wanted something like that on wii so I could of played golden sun 3.
kalkano  +   969d ago
Me too. I just played it on the actual DS, but DS is also easily emulated. So, you could just play it on your PC screen. Please actually buy it, though. If any gaming company deserves your money, it's Camelot.

Just got a vita so I'm definitely not getting a DS or 3DS for few years, I know the rom I downloaded didn't work.
TheDivine  +   969d ago
Much rather have a 3ds cart on the wii-u.
Mikito11  +   968d ago
I doubt this is to play wii u games on 3DS.. It's not needed and the bottom screen on 3DS isn't the same size so I don't think this is quite right.

Plus for those who don't seem to know, 3DS can already link to Wii U on Monster Hunter 3 HD...

How would I play Smash Brothers via a cartridge and also use this new cartridge to connect to Wii U ?

Unless I'd have to install game on SD card first, but that seems kind of a hassle.
