i also voted down. not even going to give them the satisfaction of a hit because i'm willing to bet that half of the list is sony-related for no good reason.
I'm so sad about that, too. I'm a huge Diablo fanboy and I even bought the collector's edition. After about a week of playing, I just didn't feel like it was fun enough/worth it to bother with the higher difficulties.
I dropped the game afterwards and never went back. A damn shame, really...
That's what happens when you pull out all the stat mechanics and skills choices and instead make every same level character identical except for their gear...
Granted it took awhile to level up a character in D2 but it was always fun to try out new and possibly stupid builds instead of giving us every single spell just for leveling up.
Only thing they got right was the Collosal failure of Diablo 3 a game thats been run into the ground by lack of content running act 3 can only be fun for a while and bots.
Sad that Twisted Metal was a let down, I played the series since I was kid and it was insanely fun. I remember watching E3 2010 live and they showed the TM trailer, I was like fuck yeah!
Only speaking for myself here but I've really enjoyed Twisted Metal. If you grew up playing the originals or Black then it's a must-buy as far as I'm concerned.
I think some people disliked it because they didn't compromise the original design to appeal to a broader market, it's strictly for the fans and unlike most multiplayer games it actually takes a decent amount of firepower to kill someone, so combat between players is quite long and very skill-based.
I don't think they hate Sony perse, I just think they prefer Microsoft, and their readership is obviously pro-MS. Sony has just been the easy target this gen, which is strange since MS tends to be a target big time outside the gaming world.
In Kotaku's defense though(ugh...pains me to do), they actually do make their own lists, so aren't really doing what the guy in your article is saying.
They got into a spat with Sony a few years ago regarding leaking information on 'home' Sony wanted it to be a surprise reveal - Sony asked them nicely not to make the information public but they went ahead with it, whereupon things started to turn nasty and this led to Sony blackballing them.
kotuku have, in my opinion harboured a grudge ever since.
Twisted Metal was my most anticipated game for the past couple years and it met my expectations. I think it's just too hardcore for most gamers to get into.
I think PS Vita is the best platform of 2012. It's everything I could want in a handheld and much more. The game library is fantastic for it's first year. It has some of the best handheld games I've ever played. I'm thankful that I can afford a PS Vita and a lot of games for it. I can't wait to see what great PS Vita games the future holds.
Why would fewer sales of the Vita than expected be a disappointment to them? That would only make sense if they had shares in the damn thing. Has Sony stopped giving them free games to review or something?
Vita, The Last Guardian, Twisted Metal, and "limp fall lineups from Sony and EA".
PSV
Twisted Metal
No news of the Last Guardian
No good line up from EA AND Sony
No good line up....oh and Microsofts and Nintendos was any better...jesus chrsit these guys hate Sony don't they.

I don't think Sony are too fond of Kotaku either.
