That's what Advent Children was though lol. Also, with the way SquareEnix is these days, I wouldn't want them to try this. They'd just ruin the characters/story. Unless of course they got the old team back together for a new one.

Oh yeah no doubt, just saying that AC was technically FFVII-2.

I don't see Advent Children as VII-2. Plus, I think it would confuse people if they just all of a sudden made a VII-4 (three being Dirge).

Why...we've had enough FF7 related stuff over the years what about FF8 or FF9. If it's a remake which people have been wanting for years then fair enough but they have to realise people like other FF games aswell.

I know they've debunked the theory of Rinoa in FF8 being Ultimecia but theres still so many things which point to it being true. If they did make a sequel to FF8 they could make it so we see how much the world has changed after the events in FF8, how they could want to get rid of Sourceress's around the world, like a mordern Salem Witch trails and with Rinoa being one, Squall her Knight has to protect her. Then you could add in how they find out that she will become Ultimecia because of this and they have to find a way to change the future.

FF8 dealt with time travel, it would be nice to see the sequel deal with alternative universes.

Hell with the sorceress hunt they could start another war pot wise against Esther and Galbadia. Since Laguna is Preseident their they could be the ones trying to protect sorceress's like Rinoa with it being Squalls dad and all.

So many ideas they could go with for FF8, the world is such a big place and just because they stoped one threat dosen't mean the world will be safe forever.
