Yeah its good to here from Miyazaki, he is a guy I trust and even though he is barely involved in the development at least he is there to protect what makes the Souls games great. Still won't be the same without him but hopefully not as much will change as we first presumed.
as long as the developers hear and recognise their fan's concerns unlike *cough* capcom *cough* then it should be fine. i guess we'll just have to wait and see. one thing is certain though and that is it will be different from previous souls games, i just hope for the better.
"we're imagining a framework where players are able to directly interact with each other," Shibuya said.
This goes against what the first two games were trying to achieve with their multi-player components....I know we're all looking forward to being able to jump into a friends game and co-op battle waves of the undead or sixteen player PVP....all while some douche plays annoying music in the background and curses incessantly over the newly implemented mic support.....
Why do they always feel the need fix things that aren't broken ?
But, Miyazaki says the core is still there. That makes me feel so much better....LOL
I feel that I've been slightly reassured, but we have to remember that Miyazaki doesn't have complete control over how the game pans out in the end. Of course the core will still be there, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will feel like a souls game. Of course I'm really really really hoping it does!
However, I do like the idea of a more robust multiplayer aspect to the game. But I'm still hoping that there will be no communication between players. There was a whole lot of respect in the Dark/Demon's Souls games between players such as bowing before starting a PvP fight, or being summoned to help someone in a boss battle. It's little moments like those that really put a smile on my face.
No other multiplayer game has ever given me that awesome feeling. It's simple, but that respect I was able to give and receive( most of the time ) was what made me try so hard to succeed for the summoner and give it my all in a PvP match.
god i hope they dont ruin this game. its the best series ive ever played, and now im getting nervous. i HATE the politics of money mixed with games, i understand they need to make money but when they start getting greedy thats when things start getting worse...(ahem..square enix).
