More games in the series will likely continue the trend of showing how inept it creative team is.

As much as I'd love to play the optimist, I can't think of a single example where a game franchise managed to turn around from a downward spiral--especially in the case of so catastrophic a failure as ME3's.

The closest I can think of is Two Worlds 2.

The Far Cry, Need For Speed and Halo franchises have had their ups and downs too,

Those other series had more room to move around in. With Mass Effect everything is effectively connected to the Reapers who were presented as an undefeatable threat. Shepard didn't beat them directly or even indirectly; they just there to flip the switches which chose how the Reapers beat themselves.

As a trilogy entry into itself, ME started high then went low.

@TronEOL:
But it was dropped on its head, by Bioware themselves. Its a mentally crippled offspring that needs to be put out of its and our misery.

I think more than killing sequels we need to get rid of this A.D.D attitude gamers are beginning to have. If the world has enough content to make more in that world, that game SHOULD do that.

Mass Effect has way too much potential to just drop it on it's head and let it die. And lots of people (not most) are just saying this because they had a big black tube shoved up their butt over the ending of Mass Effect 3, which wasn't perfect, but wasn't at all anywhere near terrible.

I, for one (and of many), am excited for Mass Effect 4, and anything that follows it. Whether it be comics, mobile spin-offs or full releases. The universe in Mass Effect is easily one of the most interesting in gaming today.

No more ME. Bioware, if you're talented you should be able to create any new engaging universe right now.
