I got my copy today... didn't need it, wanted it.

Nyxus4150d ago

I want to get it as well, for my collection.

I have MGS4 Limited Edition since 2008. I have completed it 15 times and got all 40 emblems and all weapons. One day my PS3 died and my MGS4 copy was unfortunately inside. So technically I don't have the game anymore. I pre-ordered the 25th anniversary edition the moment it was announced and it is on its way now. Can't wait to play the game again!

lol if your ps3 died and didnt work anymore why didnt you crack it open and get your game out?

You need a Ps3 get with the times.

@Hanuman Genuinely not being a d*ck when i ask this, but have you played the other games?

Despite it being one of this gens best, if not THE best game of this gen for me, and amazing on it's own merits, there is a truck load of fan service and previous plot tie-ups in this game.

With a sub £200 PS3 on the market now, do yourself a massive favour and buy both a PS3 and MGS4.

If it's financially viable to have both, people having ridiculous loyalties to corporations and missing out on epic games on either side of the fence is just silly at this stage.

As you'll see from my avatar and cover image, i'm a HUGE MGS fan so there aren't enough words to encourage you to try this game.

Edit: Despite still having my launch copy still, I have this ordered to maintain my collection of having every iteration of every MGS game.

I didn't need it, but i sure as hell wanted it =P

Yes, I've played 1,2 and 3 on PS! And regarding to the "get a PS3" comment; Metal Gear isn't enough motivation for me to go and buy a PS3. Neither are the other exclusives. It's PC and 360 that's a rockin' my boat nowadays...

Sarcasm4150d ago

I think this is going to come to the Xbox 360. It's going to include the PlayStation logo and everything to keep it an authentic experience.

I can't see MGS4 on xbox because change disk joke from the game unless they take out the part if there were to be a 360 version.

Unztayble4150d ago

When is it coming to the US?

olLANDSHARKlo4150d ago

The online for this game was shut down because no one was online, is this what you consider a great game, the single player is nothing but cut scenes, as are alot of PS3 exclusives nowadays, is the new version going to open the online back up?

Bigkurz854150d ago

yes it IS what any sane gamer considers a "great game."

MGS Ground Zeroes will have one even better (I hope)

In 6-7 months from now MGO 3 will be around.

Just replayed the game two days ago. It's still such an amazing experience and the graphics really holds up well against even current gen games.

Honestly in terms of story, I dunno how the hell Kojima will surpass this one with MGSV but I expect to be blown away.

Also anyone who has a PS3 and didn't play this game... Shame on you!

This beauty is worth getting a PS3.

Kojima will find a way. We get into it closer to the end of the show, but I have some theories for MGSV.
