Depends on who is talking.

That's a completely idiotic title. Of course you're going to have some good criticisms and some bad.

'That's a completely idiotic title'

It wasn't a title, it was an opinion.

The WiiU is not for everyone, but personally I'm loving it, nobody does it like Nintendo, just when you start getting tired of all the same cookie cutter 'aaa' games, they release the WiiU and remind us all why we started playing games in the first place, to have FUN!

Yeah, those "Cookie cutter AAA" games can get really old when you only buy games that magazines and game sites tell you to buy.

Otherwise, there's a whole world of indie titles and original games on PC and the other consoles.

On the headline:
There is no such thing as unwarranted criticism. But you can over exaggerate, and there is also illegitamate criticism.

The criticism of the day one update is over exaggerated by some, but it is a legitamate negative that should be noted so it can be fixed or improved upon. As is the often slow operating system. But The complaints of the update being a wopping 5GB is illegitamate, as that is completely false and is therefore not a criticism but a lie.

Where the wiiu is concerned, many criticisms are exaggerated and far to many are untrue altogether(even one falsity is too much in my opinion). That is why there is so much tension on the issue; it is one thing to point out flaws and to be critical, but not okay to slander or outright lie.

I do not know whether it deserves it or not.

However, I have been a gamer since the atari 500
and I have owned most popular consoles including several unpopular ones like 3DO, Atari 7200, Sega Saturn, and the Jaguar.

As a seasoned gamer, I really am not interested in nintendo's new console. I just dont really get it.

I am not saying it is bad, since I have only played several demos at the mall, but I just dont see the appeal at this moment.

Besides, I am haivng so much fun with the 360 and the Playstation 3, that I have no need to switch.

I think I am going to wait until I know more about what MS and Sony are cooking up for next gen before I decide.

Also, I need to save money for Bioshock Infinite, Last of Us, Gears of War : Judgement, Far Cry 3 (out today yeah!!!!) Aliens Colonial Marines and Dead Island: Riptide.

That said, as a gamer I hope the WiiU is a sueccess.

It's the cpu that is the problem not the gpu, that is the only thing that doesn't scream cheap ass, last gen tech. Although typically adequate hardware for nintendo, is pretty much low end as cheap as possible for anyone else.

Slow cpu and slow ddr3 memory of which only 1 gig is available to the gpu, vs ps3 and 360 can use both sets of memory minus the os's foot print.

So now we have articles that round up all of the opinions fact based, and B.S. alike and give commentary? Opinion hub articles? A news round-up is one thing, but give me a break. This place is falling deep into the crapper.

undeserved by haters...the wiiu is a wonderful system and with the gamepad..its truly the future of console gaming but haters will hate...battery life and game patches are normal things that will go away in a month
