If made in conjunction with a kids game with enough depth and content, I can see this being a hit with kids if advertised correctly.
Of course the bear or anything they deem more marketable would have to be bundled with the game at a reasonable cost.
On top of that, if they make more versions of the "bear" with different personalities, both outside and through the game and sell them like those Skylanders game, it might be a hit for them.
But this patent... this seems kind of creepy. Especially the thing about following your gaze- when I was little I used to be scared at night that my stuffed animals were watching me.
A Teddy like the bear in that movie A.I :)
Awesome! I would train it to kick a Nintendo fanboy in the nuts everytime articles relating to how "the Wii U CPU is slow and it doesnt matter" make it to the front page. The evolution of Eye Pet meets Tamagotchi meets Chucky the Goodguy doll in the making! lol
EDIT: this is actually the second patent for a doll/teddy like this. There was one dated 2011 and 2012.
I hope they don't have "in game" friends lol first think I thought of when reading this was the old Microsoft buddies that sat there and annoyed the hell out of you in Office, unless you were wasting time messing with them.
On a row of tests and being busy, I don't want my video game console making it even worse by feeling neglected haha
It only became bear-able when you've hit a few bongs of Afghanistan's finest.
*sorry for the sh1t pun*
...God, I'm mature for my age.
And you sure do look mature with an icecream cone as your avatar
"God, I'm mature" was just pointing out how stupid that joke was.
...but you somehow didn't pick up on that.
People act like it's releasing tomorrow in place of Uncharted 4.
Happens every week, it seems.
ho shit you just made my day
"Neglected for the last time, these teddies mean business."
In theaters Summer 2014!
