Haha, even Pachter has changed his tone..lol. He said they will sell out of every unit they make. He estimated 3.6 million they were able to produce.

He is right for once on one thing though: Wii U will sell out!! :P

I see a pile of shit wearing a red tie.
dirthurts  +   614d ago
Andy why do you say that?
BattleAxe  +   614d ago
Its obvious, he's talking about himself while he's looking in the mirror.
dirthurts  +   614d ago
It's obviously not obvious if I'm asking.
You're still making no points.
He's making valid observations of the market, which I mostly agree with. I'd put money on everything he said in this particular video.
Deku-Johnny  +   614d ago
Because Pachter is an idiot. Nearly everything he says has no evidence to back it up and ends up being wrong. He's a joke.
dirthurts  +   614d ago
I think you're missing the point.
He's an Analyst. That's what he does. It's conjecture. There isn't meant to be evidence. If you want evidence read a science journal. If you want predictions based on experience, look to this guy. Predictions are just that, predictions. Obviously, they're often wrong.
jmc8888  +   614d ago
Evidence based on experience? You've got to be kidding me.

Analysts try to forecast the future using limited information, statistical tricks, and pull it out of your butt guesses.

They are good at lying, and making it believable...even so much that many believe what they say.

But ultimately, they are just about always wrong, because they are clueless.

Show me a wall street guy that gets it right on anything without it being a lucky clock is right twice a day guess and out of 100 people guessing one would be close enough to say 'this guy got it right', and I'll show you a guy that Wall Street still hasn't seen.

It is obvious, just some people believe the tricks work. Some people believe in 'confidence rates' and statistical modelling. Some people believe that the best way to know the future is to copy the past (actually that's the worst way). Some people believe that a guy who doesn't actually take the time to to figure it out, and has crappy journalist skills, and makes wild guesses with nothing real based on them, is just that a moron.

Actually analysts are supposed to analyze what's going on and be right. They're paid to be right. Which means for Wall Street they are wasting money on.....everyone because they aren't right, ever.

There's different types of predictions and different methods for predicting. Pachter just like almost every analyst uses the wrong methodology. You have to know the present trends and how the human mind works to have a shot to predict the future.

That's why in WWII you had guys like Gen. McArthur who had such lower casualties amongst his men, he knew how to predict the right way. Pachter would of been one of those dumb generals who led people into a coffin. Now he just makes alot of money like other idiots being wrong all the time.

Some people don't know the difference. Some people do. Some people are fooled by title and experience. While others actually look at what he actually does.
Why does he get paid? seriously??

I have seen fortune cookies out do him.

Shut the f*** up pach
jbgamer  +   614d ago
wow,he get's paid for passing of bull crap? I give him 2 weeks, then he'll say, the wii u is dead! it's over they failed!!! what a loser, you noticed he and the other media who want nintendo to fail, never mention that the wii u is the only video game system that runs in true 1080p. it was introduced in 2008, so zero games on the ps3 and 360 have 1080p, the WII U IS THE ONLY VIDEO GAME SYSTEM THAT CAN DO 1080p graphics, and the machine is only using 30% of it's power.

wait until next year when the developers start using more and more of the wii u's power.. and more and more games like bayenetta 2 start becoming exclusive to the wii u, and the wii u keeps selling and selling, then we shall see how pach man will gobble down the truth, and let's see then if he still projects the wii u.. what a liar!!

Many launch games on 360 had 1080p support.
jbgamer  +   614d ago
Then why do ME3 not support 1080p COD bo2 only on wii u had 1080 p please explain and which games on the 360 supported so i can look them up.
jmc8888  +   614d ago
Not really. They could run on tv's in 1080p mode, it didn't mean they were 1080p. Quite the opposite. That was a nice little legal lie MS was telling us all these years. If you want to know what the resolution of many (not all but a ton) of your games ACTUALLY were, look at this list. Also contains PS3 game resolutions.

Note CoD
"Call of Duty 3 = 1040x624 (2xAA)
Call of Duty: Black Ops = 1040x608 (2xAA)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 = 880x720 (2xAA)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare = 1024x600 (2xAA)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 = 1024x600 (2xAA)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 = 1024x600 (2xAA)
Call of Duty: World at War = 1024x600 (2x AA)

So yes 1280x720 on Wii U would be about the same leap as it was from 720x480 to what those were running at. Plus you know they'll get more than 720p out of it.

Halo's were a bit better, but still

"Halo: Anniversary = 1152x720 (FXAA remake, no AA classic)
Halo 3 = 1152x640 (no AA)
Halo 3: ODST = 1152x640 (no AA)
Halo 4 = 1280x720 (post-AA)
Halo: Reach = 1152x720 (2xAA temporal)
Halo Wars = 1280x720 (2xAA)"

Go ahead and look up your favorite. Very few big games are actually 720p, they finally got it for Halo4.
Smashbro29  +   614d ago
Too Human did. It's 2008 but yeah. 1080p.
jbgamer  +   614d ago
Well why don't more then? Why just too human? That is confusing.
