We created these ignorant monsters, welcome to 2012.
kevinsheeks  +   686d ago
I wouldn't create a monster stupid enough to steal something before its released to the public then go around flaunting said item >.<

First thing Monday Morning have a cup of coffee and BAN HAMMER!!

Yeah I saw this coming a mile away no way will MS let people get away with this.
whoyouwit04  +   686d ago
Yea these fools deserved the be ban, hell if they catch them they should make them pay double the retail price for it.
cl1983  +   686d ago
Double is an under statement in the us fines are up to $150,000.00
whoyouwit04  +   686d ago
I don't think that any one should be forced to pay that kind of money for in illegal download unless they have that amount of stolen product on their pc that's worth $150,000. there is no way one person cause that amount of damage so its just bullshot. sometime our law is just harsh I remember when i was little a boy in my town got 2 years in juvie for stilling a 10 cent cool pop, the punishment should fit the crime.

When you figure out the number of copies made from peer to peer sites it quickly adds up.
wnek9  +   686d ago
they will just repurchase a 360 watch
GasTankKiller  +   685d ago
Very true. What you forget is all the digital games, add-on packs and more that were purchases are longer available. Have to buy all that stuff again.

Lots of money wasted because they wanted to be the cool person on the web. And what about all those achievements? All gone. Serves them right for being morons.

I like how some treat a downloaded Halo 4 as stealing yet when Microsoft bans someone and takes their legally bought games away they're ok with it.

Well, digital things aren't really products (more like services).

Do you also complain when a thief fails to make mortgage payments and the bank takes his home when he goes to jail for robbing other people?
stumpa  +   686d ago
MS have a little teeny weeny camera in the on/off button on the front of your console and they are always watching waiting for you to put a foot wrong and they can see if your putting pirated discs in then thats it the end of your console and you rrod etc and you get perma boned. So be warned don't be sitting there in your undercrackers playing on your xbox
Roper316  +   686d ago
I have no problem with that. If you want to play illegal copies of games and get caught you should expect some consequences for your action.
PurpHerbison  +   686d ago
"Only virgins would try to play an unreleased game on Xbox Live.

Non-virgins were smart enough to keep the game cuddled up in offline mode on their consoles...playing the game, for free, after downloading it illegally."

Does this mean virgins are now suddenly idiots? Or what this a shot at /v/? Pathetic article.

Just wondering does it say anywhere in the TOS that you can't play a game early?
Marquis_de_Sade  +   684d ago
The issue is not the playing of games early, it's the playing of illegally acquired games early (or at any time for that matter). MS are able to differentiate between an early copy of a game acquired legitimately or otherwise.
smallz  +   682d ago
How so? Where are you getting this information?
ShaunCameron  +   686d ago
Kudos to Microsoft for laying the law down on them.

So we have people who won't pay for a $60 game (that will become cheaper in the future) but is willing to risk a console that would probably cost them more.

Genius!

Kudos to any company that is willing to protect their investments and loyal paying fans.
GasTankKiller  +   685d ago
It's about time someone made an example out of these fools.

I'll be honest if I was mistakenly sent a copy from an online retailer before release. I would most likely play it. However, I would not promote that I have it, have my Xbox connected to Xbox Live and I sure the hell wouldn't spoil it for others.

This is where these fools went wrong and why Microsoft, 343i and fans are disappointed/upset. And there is no way in hell that I'm the only fan upset about this.

I dont know which is worse, the pirates or these articles advatising the fact that Halo 4 is leaked so people can go looking for it.

And we have seen a another word on here aswell, jtag, let me see what happens when i put halo 4 leaked and jtag into google.

I know my example is adding to the article in a sense, but folks need to realise that talking about it on blogs and stuff, is just advertising it.

With all the MS banning, no wonder the sales of the 360 are up, 1 Ban = 1 360 sale. lol
TalesFromTheBud  +   685d ago
I'm glad MS doesn't mess around.
