This should give them a big boost in support. I am kind of surprised that games media isn't picking up on this and talking about it like Operation Rainfall.
Kotaku talked about this sure but apart from them not many other sites have talked about Project Crystallis. And I think they should!
The video is really well made, and I agree with it's message, but I don't see a campaign like this working. There just won't ever be enough support for it.
these people are just impatient children, there is tons of info out on VS13 with a Demo from the actual game....just shut up and wait for them to finish it geez. As I was told growing up and I will tell my children, crying gets you no where and makes you looks like a fool.
Yeah I really wanna play VS13 so bad but I can wait until they feel like it's ready to be released.
Okay, I get OpRainfall, I really do. Those games were just sitting there with an English translation ready. But this? A campaign to get promotional material from video games in progress? Look, if Squenix isn't going to make these games at all, and just abandons them, they'll miss out on our money. We'll go elsewhere. We can't force them to work harder or faster enough on a game as to have more material available. That's up to them, up to their budget, and up to PR.
Seeing so many companies build a preview *first* and a game *later*, I say give it time. If they're going to release these games, they will. If they won't, boo to them, but they're not going to change their budget or strategy because some people signed a petition. We're not talking about Valve here, or any company that listens to its fans. We're talking about the company that's making yet another sequel to FFXIII while fans clamor for something new, different, or a remake of a classic. They don't even make a lick of sense. How do you think they'd respond?
I would love a trailer or even gAmeplay footage on VersusXIII if they can squeeze that bit from Square props to them. However I'm pretty sure its not gonna happen. They said XIII-3 was 30% done so I think its one of those things fans who are anti XIII are gonna have to endure. Square at this point is gonna do whatever they want. After XIII-3 tho they will have no reason to say Versus is being delayed by other projects. I personally think Square messed up by annoucing it so early . Hopefully after this gen Square can get their priorities in order.
Square Enix, some people may have liked FFXIII but NO ONE ASKED FOR A SEQUEL. i get that releasing FFXIII-2 would fix the problems from the first game but releasing another sequel is just........ plain stupid. STOP MILKING THE FRANCHISE

Nomura WANTS to complete the game, but is being held back by SE because of their obsession with the FF13 series.

even though i do enjoy the ff 13's i would happily trade them if the time spent on them would have been used for vs 13

We all know that resources are going into other games that a much smaller portion of the consumer base wants.
Companies can prioritize, or even tackle a new objective based on a show of support.
Why shouldn't we let them know?
Doing nothing is a sign that you are fine with the situation. Most fans clearly want more, so let them voice their opinions.
