Funny though, the article picture is of Dragon Age: Origins (an amazing RPG) but BioWare just announced Dragon Age 3: Inquisition (quick time event, button mashing, dumbed down to the max.) Sorry I just had to, no sugar coating here. I think we all know what's coming.

I hope it's a return to form for Dragon Age, but I have a feeling you could be right Major.

Unfortunately it will be designed with controller in mind. just means it will never have the tactical game play of the original.

Hell even in Dragon age origins the console version was significantly dumbed down for console use. Since it was a known fact that controllers can never handle all the inputs required. The game on console featured far less mobs etc and was basically a hack and slash game. The real game was always on the PC.

Unfortunately they dumbed down Dragon age 2 with console style gameplay in mind. I expect more of the same with DA3. They just wont learn lol.

It's like we all know what's coming, but we're too afraid to admit it... We're all hoping Bioware just makes a proper RPG game again and we don't have to worry about any tacked on MP modes.... year right, we're all in denial lol

Oh great. EA is making Frostbite 2 the next Unreal Engine 3. Next up is probably using it in their mobile games...

I would consider this DA2. That other thing was abominable. And I think he is trying to be funny.

they need to fix:

1)the dungeons
2)the decision making and it's significance to the story
3)usefulness of the loot
4)Relevancy of the party members
5)it should look better than a PS2 HD port at this point in the life span of the 360 & PS3

DA2 did some good things. Had Origins not gone before it I think it would have been received better. It veered too far from what people were expecting but on its own DA2 was a great game.

I'm looking forward to DA3. Go back a little more towards the Origins roots but keep the battle system geered more toward the DA2 style and I think the fans will come back around.

Lets hope they can pull it out!

Oh you don't have to hope, it'll be there. EA's head honcho proudly stated that he will not greenlight games unless they have multiplayer components. Expect ruin.

Well lets just say if it is then thats it for Bioware...it shows you there in too deep for them to change back to what they were like.

I mean people are looking at DA3 as a way for Bioware to prove themselfs again, if they mess up then thats it, they blew it

Let's all hope so, Bioware have it in them to make an amazing game. It's all in how much EA feel like holding them back.

I predicted months ago that Dragon Age and the next Mass Effect (ie Next gen Mass Effect) would use the FrostBite 2 instead of Unreal 4. Happy to actually see that some of that prediction is coming true.

They shouldn't port it over to the Wii-U unless some type of comic book is included where the player could select story choices.We have to remember all of these games were built with the current platforms in mind.I'm sure EA/Bioware will port DA3 over to Wii-U just later.

i get u but still.. AC3 is coming to it, black ops is coming to it, & a few others that are sooner to release.. I dont think it would be a problem if they wanted to do it.. ME3 is getting released w a comic, why not have that same team port it? GTA5 prolly aint goin on wii u either.. Its all assumption cuz it could change but as it stands, its not going on it.. Speculation on it being possible is exactly what happened with all the others.. The potential is there for great things to happen but falls short..

We really don't know anything about the game yet, it could be a next gen title as well. Seeing that the Wii U gets Mass Effect 3, I could see them getting this game too. I wouldn't count it out in the least.

Way too early to be complaining that the Wii U isn't listed as an option. The game is 16 months from release...

It actually really depends on weather Dragon Age III is next gen or not. ie the real next gen, ie PS4/720/PC.

If it is, its pretty clear it won't be on Wii U. If its on PS3/360, i see no reason why it shouldn't be on Wii U....same damn tech anyway so...

It is kind of disappointing to continue the storyline of the second game which was, lets be honest, a huge let-down compared to Origins. What the heck happened with the Blight and the Grey Wardens anyways? I guess they REALLY wanted to go all Mass Effect on their one true old school RPG... I will be following the development of this closely.

Yes, too much focus on the Templar vs Mage thing. I get that the Blight only happens once in a long time, but there's got to be other things to the Dragon Age universe than that.

If Bodahn and Sandal are not in DA3 then Bioware will face the biggest backlash of all time.

After all, they are the most important characters in the DA games.

Nobody wants one. Nobody is shelling out $300 for a PS3 that can't play blu-ray or the PS3's games. -_-

I doubt anyone would want a Wii U version considering all of your choices from the first 2 games would carry over to this one.

Not me, I'm not planning to get an WiiU, but a PS4 version would be nice ;D

That would be cool if they released the other 2 games, but without them it's kind of like Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U.

They might be for next generation consoles that is why they haven't shown anything.

That would be pretty interesting. Being able to collapse the ceiling on some Hurlock Emissaries would make them less of a pain.
