Agreed. Just not as big of a leap from 1 to 2 though. Just ever so SLIGHTLY better. Practically the same IMO.

I actually liked the first Uncharted's boss fight the best out of all three. Although still epic, 2 and 3's boss fights come in at about the same.

Nah, the ending to 3 was far less superior to UC2. I can't believe they even considered that a boss fight. Otherwise 3 is just as good.

I have not actually played the first one yet. Beating Lazaravich felt like way more of an accomplishment than the dude from UC3.

uncharted 2 was better for when it came out, but actually uncharted 3 was better, even if i didn't enjoy it as much as i did uncharted 2 when i first played that

I think Uncharted 2 is hands down better than Uncharted 3.

But to be fair, I'm a little bias. I absolutely hated the 'stealth' in UC3, as there was hardly as much as they said there would be.

I also disliked the ending surprise more than the other games. In UC1 we got Zombie type enemies, in UC2 we got Yeti's (which were awesome), and in UC3 we got teleporting fire bomb throwing hallucinations... It just didn't have that same, 'wow' factor to me.

True, I actually feel that too. It's just the bigger scope of everything else kind of got to me with 3.

That's what I was saying. lol .It's just that, while I do feel that Uncharted 2's story was better. I feel Uncharted 3 did epic scale and everything else better. It's sorta like the GOW series. Every other installment had a better story than GOW3 but when it came to gameplay tweaks, epic scope, epic set pieces, and just wow factor in general, GOW3 did it better than all the others. Same with Uncharted 3 to 2 with me. Minus aiming before the patch. (I really like how they made the guns feel in Uncharted 3 though). A lot of kickback.

I thought Uncharted 3 wanted to do away with big bosses, but instead focus more on story telling and cinematics. Uncharted 2 had a bunch of big bosses that were really friggin annoying. The Helicopter, the helicopter, the helicopter, the tank (I hated the tank), and the boss at the end.

Nobody has the right to tell you that you're personal opinion is wrong.

Well it's my opinion that the author's opinion is a stupid opinion. Sometimes I wonder if anyone at IGN actually owns a PS3. When they started with Spec Ops, I knew it was gonna be bad, but it just got worse and worse from there... and no MGS4 is sacrilegious.

My fave games this gen, I love them both. But its irrelevant which one is better. The fact that they'd put so many multiplats ahead of a really great PS3 exclusive on a "Top 25 PS3 games" list is lame.

Lol no problem Dark Souls is an amazing game.

It does certain things better than Demons Souls and Demons Souls does things better than Dark Souls so each to their own.

IDK. Yakuza isn't that great and I didn't care for Demon's Souls. Just started play MGS4 and after all the hype I've always heard, it can't live up to it. Everyone has an opinion, an that's theirs. Not saying I agree, but everyone's entitled to it.

I'll agree the lack of MGS4 pains me but I'll side with IGN, I think UC3 is better than UC2.

No way in hell is uncharted 3 better than uncharted 2. Campaing and the multiplayer overshadow Drakes Deception any day. I bet the only reason they have it on the list is because they gave it a 10. This dude got carried away by giving it a perfect score. It's a good game but it doesnt touch Among thieves !! Uncharted 2 is still the pinacle of the series because OVERALL its the better game. Can't wait for Uncharted 4 to come out and hopefully ND acknowledges they did something wrong in Drakes deception by putting more emphasis on the multiplayer in oppose to the campaing. They better have the WHOLE team working on it too because i believe that's why Uncharted 3 felt so rush.

Usually people who suck at games like the MGS series and expect to run and gun and think that they're gonna do good don't usually appreciate its greatness. Personally i don't give a damn what greg thinks about the mgs series because he doesn't even play it properly. Go watch his mgs hd collection video review for your case and proof that he sucks.

and the PS3 version of Mass Effect 2 is very baaaaad. too many bugs, glitches, and really bad graphics.

Better game overall. Not only in the boss fight. The way The villain died was GAY !!!! QUICKSAND -_- the whole game was all over the place an it Felt rush. I want to go on a rampage with this disappointment list god who is running IGN O.o

well GT5 had too many problems when it came out.

I agree about Spec Ops, Saints Row, Vanquish, and Catherine, but GTA IV? It is the highest-rated PS3 title to date. Aside from Rockstar's other masterpiece, Red Dead Redemption, no game I know of can come close to matching GTA IV's sheer quality and level of polish, especially not any other open world game.

Red dead is one of the best games I played. But despite it's critic score it disappointed a lot of fans myself included because I expected another San andreas but just for the PS3 but I was wrong. I wanted things like jetpacks, buying homes, customizing cars, ride jets that kind of thing on this game but once you're finished with GTA IV you're limited to what you can do in the game. Besides the missions were very repetitive. Mostly chase somebody down and kill him look through the cops computer search for that guy chase him and kill him again. You do similar things over and over it gets boring. I finished the game back in 2008 and haven't touched the game since.

Also man despite it's critic score which is 98 assuming it's from metecritic. The game only won 38 GOTY awards. Fallout 3 won 66 and that came out in the same year. Also games like uncharted 2 won 111 GOTY awards along with red dead winning 110. All from game of the year picks blog.

So it just goes to show that reviews are pretty much rendered useless. They're just opinionated by one person. While GOTY decisions are made by the whole team of reviewers.

As for GTA IV quality and level of polish and how nothing comes close I disagree actually. Assassin's creed II and Brotherhood are way more creative, artistic, and just overall more fun. Assassin's creed 3 takes it to the next level.

BLOCKBUSTER IS DEAD! (I CAN WRITE CAPS TOO!) But yeah, play a freaking Ps3 and remove those multiplats. It's rude.

I was thinking the same thing. I'd probably put VC in my top 5 or 10 games this generation, to say nothing of on a single console.

And, honestly, you could make a pretty comprehensive Top 25 list out of JUST the exclusives; only the absolute best multiplats should make it. I mean, Saints Row is fun, but it makes the list over Gran Turismo, Killzone, and Metal Gear?

Only the best multiplats should make the list but not the same pedigree to exclusives? Who thinks like that? Oh that's right, Sony fanatics.

Meanwhile, in the real world...

People buy all types of games and Call of Duty is the number one franchise on the Playstation 3, not an exclusive, so who is this list supposed to represent? The minority who flocks the forums to whine about everything and anything or a list of games that represent all types of games for all types of Playstation 3 owners?

They listed exclusives like Resistance 3 that did nothing at the retail end while also listing games like Saint's Row The Third right next to Valkyria Chronicles, both of which received about the same reviews.

You will NEVER have a list that pleases everybody and people that whine about these lists shouldn't care in the first place because their mind is already set on what THEY think it should be regardless of the persepctives from ALL Playstation 3 owners.
